I was wondering anyone was going to post that. Unbelievably large amounts of people still go out to see that movie. Don't even know how many years it ran every weekend on the coast here. And people just had fun!

I have one funny story involving Mr. Curry. I want to say it was 1993 and I was an apprentice editor working for Soundelux. At the time they were THE sound house in town. We did some massive movies in my 3 years there. Anywho, I was dropping off some film for an adr session (that's just how we rolled back then) to what was then CBS Studio center. At the time they had a great adr booth and mixer so I was there a lot.
One day I am inside talking to the engineer about whatever and I came outside to leave and find Mr. Curry leaning against my brand new Toyota pick-up enjoying a lung dart. I had just dropped about 10g's having it c-notched, bagged and painted a beautiful pearl white, so my first inclination was to get pissy, but then I just said to myself fuck it, how often do you get to see Dr. Frank N Furter in the flesh, let alone have him tell me I'm an idiot for ruining such a nice truck. hahaha
Rip to a great one, he will be missed.
He was an amazing talent. RIP.
The year it came out, my running buddies were all about the friday night surf movies in small theaters up and down the coast.
Saw it early on before the audience participation rage.
It was definitely not the usual friday night surf movie.
Then fast forward to, The hunt for Red October...

Just as Tim's Memoir / Autobiography, Vagabond, reached the top of my pile of 'books to read' - I 'acquire' so many books, that I put them in line order, as I'll read at least 2 / 3 a week - He died.
So sad - he'd been ill for a few years now - last time I saw him he was at a RHPS event last year.
A Fantastic Performer, and one of the Greatest 'Wits' of our time .
RIP Tim Curry 1946 /2026
Growing up in the 90s my friends and I used to love him in Peter Pan and the Pirates as Hook (made by FOX). A much more serious, well written cartoon comparatively to some of the stuff knocked out by the BBC at the time etc.
Yeah it's well written but nothing about Tim's performance is phoned in... 3:22
Quite honestly...
That was both wonderful and heartbreaking to watch.
The man was a "Triple Threat"...singer, dancer, actor. While not quite as popular as what/who Chrstopher Walken has become, another triple threat, Curry's catalog of work is stellar.
Is still find Rocky Horror to be a bit of an unappreciated work of art. That movie was really well produced and ahead of it's time.
Cracked up at the end of Clue where they announce the klller, then say "Or it could have been..." and have the different endings they played in the theater all on the tape.
Years ago Curry did a great job playing sleazy record company owner Winston Nuquay (spelling?) in the series Wise Guy.
Really enjoyed the series overall, but got a little freaky in the end..
Also the bit with him and Einstein in whatever that video game he played in
Christopher Walken - well, He's Christopher Walken!
One thing - I'd known him as a Fantastic Actor, but, had No Idea of his being a 'Hoofer', until I saw him in the "Weapon Of Choice" - Fat Boy Slims' music Video, concept and direction by Spike Jonze.
It opened up a whole other side of his talents to me.
He's pretty bloody good in a recent little Brit TV series, The Outlaws, run between 2021 and 2024.
Of course - ' More Cow Bell ' ranks right up there!
