I can't believe the videos coming out of this natural disaster.
BREAKING: New footage shows absolutely horrifying scenes along the China-Nepal border amid devastating flash floods, hundreds missing, many feared dead pic.twitter.com/hwXTz8IzjP

Caught two of them just a bit ago.
Damn, it was like a bomb went off as the water hit.
Didn't have a chance.
We are third in line on the on the runway to take off... Going to help, my end of summer vacation just got REAL!!!
God bless you on your journey over to help!

Absolutely horrific disaster. no words powerful enough to describe.
Did a landslide hit a huge lake, or what?
That's amazing!
There's before and after pictures being posted on X.
Riverside communities completely wiped away.
Brings back the nightmare of the hurricane helene floods.
They're saying that a piece glacier broke off and fell into a glacial lake up in the mountains, that broke its containment and flooded the river all at once.
Wow!
No words....
Couldn't have been much warning. That's heartbreaking.
Depending on how many cities it hit, casualties could be in the tens of thousands. No warning and those cities look densely populated. Tragic.

Wow is all I have to say. And the POWER of nature.
Old saying where I grew up... "if you can see water from your house, you're too close!"
We lost power for an hour last night and I was pissed. Sometimes you just don't get it.
I can’t watch those videos. Poor people had no warning. Humans meeting their demise just hits too hard.
Normally I can't stand when media/news outlets use words like "horrifying" or "scary" in their news copy (let me be the judge of that), but in this case, that Insider Paper post is 100% correct. That's absolutely horrifying to watch.
Pit Row
Couldn’t believe what I saw. 😔
Back in 2011, Jenn and I did a half thru hike on the southern part of the AT.
At the same time, we had a good friend who was in Nepal hiking the Annapurna circuit. He returned with stories, and photos, of his trip.
Scenery, villages, and the local people.
He talked a lot about how friendly and inviting everyone was as he hiked from one destination to the next.
Offering food, their homes, even with the language barrier.
Every photo had people smiling.
Makes seeing the aftermath shots tough to view.
If I didn’t know better I’d say those videos look like AI! Just awful and terrifying. Those poor people…
A look at what gave way in the landslide/glacial avalanche.
Biblical!
You find this amusing?
Disgusting!
All of the videos of that are so crazy to see. I was wondering if it was AI at first, and then saw so many more. In one video that show a dam that starts flowing out of control and an excavator is slowly moving away. I kept thinking it was going to get swept up. The guy got lucky. I can not imagine what that felt like. I was saying to my self, why isn't the guy running to higher ground? That machine is going to get swept away. Crazy , some of the video look like something You would see in a movie and think it was too over the top and could never happen in real life. Like the building that gest demolish from the water behind it. So crazy the power of water.
Really makes me want to make changes in my future plans to work towards being in a position to help people in events like that. It must have sounded like hell was coming.
No I don’t find it amusing.
Poor timing on my part.
Here is a great video that explains how it actually happened:
