If so, it seems pretty freaking cool!  An old air cooled, open class engine is one of those sounds that just makes you feel good and this thing should be a ton of fun!

I rode my IT200 so much when i was a kid , that even I couldnt believe it never died. Never even did a top end on it. All i knew how to do back then was filter and oil changes. It just would not quit.

That was probably what mine was, an 85. I was 15 thru 18 at the time I had it. It was almost new and had a front disc. Great bikes for sure. I was really into trail riding and hadnt made to the MX track yet.

My primary off-road bike from 77 to 86 was the IT175 - 200! Awesome bike

I thought it was crazy when i discovered my cousins IT175 had 6 gears and my 200 only had 5. I thought mine was a factory defect. 🤣

 

EDIT: I just did a chatGPT about the gearing. Said both had 6 speed trans. Dang, either my memory sucks, or mine wouldnt shift into 6th. HAHA
