I am not real sure what Woke 1 and Woke 2 mean. My understanding is woke 2 is abandoning a lot of their crazy ideas like defunding the police and open borders (just so they stand a chance of being elected). Then, if they win, they’ll move back to the far left. Just like Spanberger did in VA. She ran as a moderate. Once she took office she exposed herself as a far left whacko. Spanberger is a perfect example of woke 2

Here's an example of why socialism doesn't work.
In the 30's, farmers were struggling because they were unable to sell all their crops because there was more supply than demand. FDR's solution was to pay farmers to not farm 20% of their land. Well, some were still farming 100% and still getting paid for the 20% they weren't supposed to farm.
The solution was to hire 10's of thousands of inspectors with measuring equipment to make sure they were only farming 80%, and had to till in any crop going over 80%. But, some inspectors were being bribed by the farmers to look the other way, and continued to farm at 100%. Huh....
The solution to this was to hire more inspectors to inspect the first inspectors, and guess what, yep getting bribed too. The next plan was to hire airplanes to take aerial photos to prove accountability.
Then, after some droughts and the smaller farms, we were short on corn, wheat, and cotton. The solution to that was to import those things.
So, we importing grains and cotton while paying many thousands of inspectors to make sure the farmers who were getting paid to not farm weren't cheating.
Doesn't that make perfect sense?
There are allot of countries right now that are social democracies right now that are working better that the US is doing. They have much better qualities of life and medical system and care. People have more money in the pockets at the end of the day also. Most people seem to think you there are no private companies which isn’t true, there thinking of the USSR(Russia) and China , which was authoritarian Communism which people aren’t free. That isn’t Democratic socialism at all.
The FDR AAA act wasn’t socialism so you know. That was about supply and demand. There still doing things like that in the USA now.

That's exactly what it was. Tax money given to farmers to not grow crops, more tax money to try to police the program, more tax money to police the police, and even more tax money to import said crop product.
That defines socialism.
Watch how Mandami's government run discount grocery stores work out. It won't, it's been tried. They even tried here in Texas, and it's unsustainable.
Any government handouts and subsidies are a form of socialism. The New Deal and Green New Deal included. Remember the too big to fail? That was a form of socialism.
True capitalism is not perfect but is far superior to socialism and communism. We seem to have a disconnect between maximing profits for shareholders and profit sharing with employees. Capitalism by default will maximize profits and minimize wages unless managers recognize the value of retention, training and expertise all which includes rewarding hard workers where it counts. Their paychecks and stock shares.
Every government employee represents a tax on the citizens.
Maybe I didn’t explain what I was trying to convey properly. I think there’s a place for both capitalism and socialism. Both pure socialism and pure capitalism can create serious problems. I doubt anyone wants local police departments to be run for profit, for example.
I also think there’s a place for government standards and regulation. Imagine having different electrical systems, outlets, and voltages everywhere you went. It would be a disaster. There’s a reason we have common standards, and historically, the lack of them caused major problems.
My point isn’t that socialism is better than capitalism across the board. I think a combination of the two, using each where it makes the most sense, is probably the better approach.
Standards are one thing. Socialism is another thing. Socialism would become to be like taxes. Just a little bit more is all they need. And then a little bit more and we’ll never ask again. And then they weren’t expecting something, so just a little bit more. You can take your DSA propaganda and put it where the sun doesn’t shine.
