Anyone have a cylinder, usable or not, for a KX500. Looking for a spare.

I'm thinking you're not going to want to read this but I used to have one. Laying around since 96. THINK I chucked it cleaning out the garage last year but maybe not. As into the recycling. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Sorry Terry. I must have chucked it. Pretty sure it was just last summer too. Had it laying around for 14 years and finally said "screw it". Bummer. I'll check the shop where I keep my rig because I have a pile of scrap aluminum down there, but don't hold your breath.

TerryK, I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but when I see Lumpy post pics of some spare parts, it got my brain turning a little... Does anybody have a clutch cover for the Kx500? And even more so, one from the factory bikes that Destry and those guys used where it had the clutch cover like a current bikes so you don't have to remove the whole side of your bike!? I've been wanting to make one, but don't have the resources to do so.

The Shop

parts are for older KX's........ probably back as far as 87 and up to mid to late 90's. Some parts like levers are probably the same.

Sorry Terry, checked my shop too. No dice. Knew it was a long shot at best. S.O.B! Had that thing laying around since 96, and that's when I last owned a KX500, finally tossed it last year. Didn't think there was any reason to hang on to it any longer. Figures, huh? Need a complete stock front end for a 93 CR250? With leaking fork seals? I have that for you. Even have the new seals!

Lol, well thanks for looking, and yeah, isn't that always the way? You throw something out that has been collecting dust for years then BAM, someone needs it! That's why most guys become hoarders of some sort! lol

Just out of curiosity, how much do you want for the front end?

Shit man, you serious? I was being completely sarcastic. I bought the bike, sat on it for a few years because no one makes springs for those Showas for my 260lbs, then bought a blown up 450 Zook with the new Showas. Tossed the whole front end on the 93. It's awesome. You want them, they're cheap. Make me an offer. Ha! Back on you.

Sorry TK, been away. Miss me? Lol. Went back into my rig for first time since May and I'll be disappearing again all week now. On the upside, I may be coming through Thunder Bay and I can drop this shit off! Pics. Lol. Shit dude, I don't even own a CAMERA! I'll see what I can do though. I KNOW people with a camera.

I need some parts for an 89 KX 125 as well. I have a stock silencer for it sitting in the corner of the building. Now I just need the rest of the bike.
