Byron Dennis replaces the injured Liam Owens at Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM. He already did really well at the ADAC MX Masters last weekend.
With Deacon Paice and Jack Ellingham stepping in as replacements at KMP Honda and MX-Academy Honda, after the injury of interim Ky Woods who got injured aswell, and the regulars Jake Cannon and Levi Townley, it starts to look like our Aussie and Kiwi friends start to find their way to the worldchampionship series again.
I’ve just seen on the socials that Lucas won’t ride this weekend, this trapped nerve in his hip seems to be a serious problem. Obviously the treatment he’s receiving isn’t working so what’s the next step? Does he go under the knife?
I'm not sure that surgery for a trapped nerve is an option. I've suffered with sciatica most of my adult life and the most you can do is just manage it.

Man, disappointing to see where Seewer is now, when looking at those results.
Hope he has a good weekend at an old stomping ground.
Lucky I havent had that injury but it can be debilitating and flare ups can last weeks/months, seen it with many friends...I dunno man, I still think the brothers needed to do what Kay just did. I know a lot of US fans think the Coenens = Lawrences but I hate to break it to ya...anyway, I know the deal is signed and yadda yadda but if im Mr Bajaj i know my one eye brow is now firmly raised.
But why? He got injured after signing to race in the US?
He seems to be in a shit situation, it’s been what 4 weeks now. Could this even be a career ender?
Hmm, I thinking about faded Geerts. This is still a mystery for me.
I may be wrong but reading between the lines of what JT$ has said on many podcasts this whole go-to-USA deal was being pushed by the Coenens with KTM/DeCarli very apprehensive about it (but contractually obligated to facilitate it if the Coenens so wished) - That combined with their minimal SX experience and propensity to crash alot (sorry not sorry) I thought they may not be as ready as they think for a FULL smx season trying to beat the aliens, the youtuber and a healthy Sexton - but i have been downvoted to death every time I mention that sentiment but in the end I think they would be wise to just wait a year or 2 more.
What a boring track. One line and no overtaking

Saw Gifting last year?
Even so it’s still a switch back, hard pact track that will end up one lined.
You mean cross jumping? Yes saw it...
Yes, it's one line about 20 feet wide, like any other track before any riders been on it 🤦
Compared to any AMA/MXGP track, Pro riders has to plan their passes and rarely you can make a top 5 clean pass in more that 3-4 places on a pro track.
Gifting managed to pass both Herlings and Febvre last year, for top 3 positons.
Pit Row
Must be a huge Febvre or Herlings fan
It's not the worst track, definitely not near the best either. Watching from up on the rocks looks pretty cool though.
Hoping Sacha is a little healthier. Farres is due for a little bad luck, which Sacha and the others probably need to close the gap.
Anyone know if Elzinga will line up?
A feature of a trapped sciatic nerve (which is what KTM said it is) is that it comes and goes. You can have weeks of intense pain and then weeks of no pain at all. An impact on the area of causation can set it off which is what KTM referred to in their latest statement about the danger of another injury triggering pain.
So career ending no but it could make things really tough for him in terms of stringing championships together. It would be such a shame as he’s clearly a generational talent.
In his last MX2 year he had a bad elbow injury, someone told me that he is now 90% pain free and that is the best it will become. But I see a young guy who's rebuilding himself and puts great effort in taking the team to a higher level. A public secret is that Jago has an autism spectrum disorder but I think that can help him fixing the problems on BETAs bike, using the analytical brain he has.
