Temecula, CA - (January 7, 2011) - After weeks of speculation and rumors, nine-time X Games Medalist and 2010 LOORRS Super Lite Champion Jeremy Twitch Stenberg announced today that his 11-year relationship with the Metal Mulisha has come to an end.

Commenting on news breaking on espn.com in late December regarding his departure, Stenberg had this to say, "we originally started out as a group of guys that just LOVED to ride dirtbikes and hang out and hey if we could earn a little money doing so - even better! For me, the Mulisha has gotten away from that these days. Don't get me wrong I am appreciative of everything that the Mulisha has meant to me but at the same time I feel like I have been a loyal and constant presence on the team...I continue to compete and win competitions and always try to give back to our fans. As a company, the now very corporate Metal Mulisha was not supportive of the other things in my career - I think, for some reason, I was being pushed aside so the decision was really inevitable - it is just that simple.”

Just a month ago Stenberg won the Fan Favorite award at the second annual AFMXA Ramp Awards and two weeks later, in his very first pro season racing off road trucks, Stenberg claimed the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Super Lite Championship!

Stenberg had this to say regarding the contrary information released by the Metal Mulisha, within the same espn.com break, "I unfortunately will not remain part of the Mulisha family and ride at the compound and be part of the riding trips and still be part of "business as usual" -- that could not be further from the case. I still have friends that are on the Mulisha team but things are not "business as usual" at the Mulisha, the ego of the individual behind the brand leaves no room for the advancement of anyone else on the team -- so now it's time for me to leave and do my own deal."

The nine-time X Games medalist is also filming the VH-1 show "The X-Life," which will feature vert skater Pierre-Luc Gagnon, BMXer Cory Nastazio, Stenberg, and their significant others, as they go about the day-to-day business within the adrenaline-packed world of action sports. "The X-Life" premieres on January 10th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ET/PT and is executive produced by Cris Abrego for 51 Minds Entertainment, LLC. an Endemol Company and Joe Simpson for JT Entertainment.

As the break further reports -- "Stenberg is perhaps the most recognizable rider on the Mulisha team, which includes founder and 11-time X Games medalist Brian Deegan and seven-time medalist Todd Potter." Stenberg will announce future plans regarding the pursuit of his own endeavors early 2011 as all contractual obligations to the Metal Mulisha have ended as of December 31, 2010.

________

Pretty cool decision IMHO. Always thought Jeremy was a genuine guy.

Deegan is such a douche, I have always hated that ass hat. Its too bad that he seems to be too stupid to understand his role on the wheel that makes up a team. Personally, and we have seen this before, I hope he ends up penniless & friendless and everything he built comes crumbling down as everyone abandons his sinking ship.

If they were as hard core as they pretend to be they would just shoot it out in she street and there wouldn't be any need for press releases!

Jeremy probably tried to get a bigger piece of the cake. It never worked out.. I bet the kid will start his own clothing company.. Where there is money involved.. there is no friendship. Anyways, funny how it doesn't have any results since he joined the 4 stroke gay trend..

Ice paid for his sellout in the 80's. I think everythig after that has humbled the man. His new show is funny.

Degan did nothing personally to me, I just cant stand those kinds of asshats or what he stands for. He isnt "punk rock" he is just a douchebag with ego a lot bigger then his acheivments.

How is he going to cover up the army helmet on his neck?

I wonder if Linkogle makes more from MM than twitch.

Twitch is a worker.........Linkogle never sold his interest in it as an Owner.

MM is what it is. When freestyle was growing up, they were the crew that was going up against 199, Vines, Bartram, etc. Thare's always going to be rifts in these crews, and I wish them all the best. Deegan did some crazy shit back back when the backflip was the gangster move.

I do.
Twitch is fun as hell to watch on a bike.
He can go and ride in the hills better then almost any rider out there.
If you don't respect that, or care for that, then you are no motocross fan.

I also enjoy seeing Twitch on that X factor show.
Which isn't a bad show, nothing seems to be staged about it.
Shows Twitch as a good family man and a man about his business.

On the X factor show. (Twitch's TV show).

By the way it was filmed it appeared the Mulisha was pissed Twitch got a TV show and they didn't or something like that.
Twitch was racing the Lucas Oil Off Road truck series and Mulisha said Twitch was not able to enter their pits anymore.
Twitch went on to win the championship on his own.
