This one is actually a bit blatant......
What happened to AK Designs? They used to do some nice work and painted for a lot of the 1990's GP riders
I’m not seeing it

I still have this TP helmet on my shelf
I saw that but I can’t tell what it says - like agv maybe. It kind of looks like flipping someone off lol
Yep, AGV. Lackey had a contract with them but then didn't like the current helmets that they had. I don't think he wore a Bell the entire year, but he did for a while and they put the AGV decals on it/them. I think that the next season he went to Arai.
Ha! That’s a good one. Kind of like putting the Simmons forks on his factory Suzuki. I guess the agv thing was before his mxgp win.
He did wear a Bell the whole year and got fined per GP by AGV but paid the fines anyway.
That's my memory of that situation.
For Brits of a certain age Robbie Herring always had great designs. Here's a couple from his Yam days, the former being the '88 Des Nations - bit of British Racing Green and the Union Jack incorporated.
That year he finished 7th O/A in 1st moto ( 250/500) and 2nd Moto he finished 2nd O/A behind Jeff Ward and ahead of RJ. He was insanely quick and had the best style of that era. Good times..
Jeff Matiasevich's 90's TLD painted hemets were always the epitome to me of the custom painted helmet craze that really exploded in the 90's.
This helmet in particular really blew my mind at the '90 Atlanta Supercross. Prior to this- you were starting to see neon and even fades colors getting tossed in- but the designs were always pretty "symmetrical" and "straight line" looking. This Bell Moto-5 helmet also had just been introduced and featured Bell's own "straight line" design that you could at least chose from in a variety of different color combos to choose from- albeit in the same design.
This is the first MX helmet that I had ever seen with an all-out, "no rules" design and one of the first "spashed-all-over-the-helmet" paint jobs that I ever seen... Toss in some neon paint and you have a helmet that to me is still cool looking and memorable all these years later.
what's the origin of Zacko's lid? ISDE? It's sick.
This is one of Tim Harts correct?
Mc grath second 250 helmet and Bradshaw..
Chickens were cooler but lack of wins Made them less popular.
