I saved myself $30,000 and got a 26 year old Frontier with no electronic things to fail. Manual transmission, windows, and doors. A/C works! 29mpg on the highway.
A friend has a 26 that he modded the back seat. Basically removed it and built a nice flat deck with hinges, plywood and covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. It looks like something Fntion ord should offer as an option. It turns the back seat into a big box.
My wife has a 25 and I steal it every chance I get. Someone on another forum asked about head room. I never paid attention until yesterday. I'm kinda short legged 6' tall. I have very nearly the head room in a Maverick as I do in my 22 F250.
All this talk about good gas mileage and I’m over here like 🤨🤔🤔😂😂

That aint shit! Can you say Hyundai Santa Cruz?
Man the attrition rate of vehicles up here in the Midwest ruined that for me. If I could have found a nicer old one I would have went for it.
Thanks - I always wondered about that. I like the looks of that truck and driveability without dirt bikes/short wheelbase.
Can you pull truck wheelies with bikes in the back
I have one too but I saved even more and went with the 1995 nissan D21 pickup. Bombproof. Reliable. Roll up windows. 4x4. V6. surprisingly decent on fuel as it weighs like 3000 lbs. Everything works and has 86,000 original KM's. Bought that beauty 3 years ago with a hydraulic snowplow on the front for $2500 canadian dollars (which are similar to pesos). Insurance is like $16/ month lol.
I have a 1 ton Cummins that does the heavy work, and drive an s4 (car) for commuting, so nothing I own gets used a lot. Not to mention the few old jeeps kickin around and the wifes grand cherokee that we take if we are together.
I had a 7.3 excursion back in the day and that 44 gallon tank about killed me to fill up haha! But the 700 mile range was nice!
I was looking for any sub 200k smaller truck I could find under $8k, but after driving an hour twice to see 2 different trucks that they swore "barely had any rust" and was able to pull chunks off the frame by hand, I got frustrated and bought a new Maverick hybrid. 30+ mpg hauling a bike on the highway, and 40-65 mpg in town back and forth to work. About to find out how 2 bikes and a generator fit in the bed together!
Nice truck and it looks like you have a 6 ft. bed also. The new Maverick was supposed to be an affordable ''mini'' truck. Do the scheduled maintenance on that truck ie: fluids, filters and belts and it will last a life time.
Drive up a steep hill take it to redline and dump the clutch. Wheelie that sucker! No worries the tailgate will be your wheelie bar. Automatic? Neutral drop it.
I like how they dont mention reliability as a selling point and that it is easy to service, lol.
Your bikes will get there but 2 guys and all their gear will need another truck to get it all to the same race 😂
Do you get any rock damage to your tailgate running it open like that?
Nice! That is an advantage!
If you had one bike can you shift the back wheel to at least shut the tailgate?
