Was pretty much the same in SX this year. He seems really hard on himself and locked in, specially when he doesn't win. Once he title was locked in, he was smiling and all fun again. As you said, I think he's just really competitive and hates anything but winning
Good god I just had a SX flashback nightmare, I left the TV on after qualifying and from the other room I hear Leigh Diffey's voice on the TV....
I guess he gets to annoy the track and field fans too...

It’s very narrow. After the finishe and before the ski. Jump they took 5+ feet off the outside line. Passing will be tough.

Been thinking for a while.. if we're only going to show the second round of qualifying, we should only take the top 20-30 from q1 into q2 and then the gate pick should be based off of q2 results so there's always guaranteed stakes on the televised part of qualifying. It's so damn annoying to not see the laps that actually secure the top positions a lot of time outdoors
Or, you know, we could just show Q1 with no commentary so people can at least watch

He was fast back in the 250 B days… I think he was around top 20 in moto 1. If that’s what he got today that is a great result for him.
