I always liked Mike and Jeff, I know Tony was intense, but I know he sacrificed everything to get his boys to the top and that deserves some respect. I have a funny story with Jeff. We were at a race at Glen Helen back in like ‘99 (mike was on a kx80 with green fox gear looking factory) well jefft and I were riding bicycles and there was a double that someone built. Anyways Jeff tried jumping it and endoed hard as hell and the first thing he said to me was to not tell his dad lol Jeff was a funny kid, RIP Jeff, gone way too soon.

That’s a classic JA801 story. He used to come around our trailer when he was on Honda minis and sneak donuts before the races. He would always say the same. Tony stopped by at one race and asked that we hide the donuts from Jeff—-Mike snitched on him. 😂

This is a douche move you'd expect from some 75 IQ dipshit rapper who just sold a bag of weed.

"Stay classy, San Diego!"

That said -- Alessi pulled many douche moves while racing, but by all accounts he's a decent fellow. His father clearly has short man syndrome though....

I'll  bet a case of beer this "arrest' brouhaha is merely another day at the lake in the pussy society--police state we live in. Looking at someone skew is "assault" nowadays. Buddah forbid you TOUCH someone !  They take a dive and flop around like a fucken soccer player, and call the fat Gen Z bimbos with their slicked-back hair and Terminator shades who make up half the cops now.

"You're denying me muh RIGHTS!"

To be a PUSSY, yes.......

You ever see "fights" in videos? Some scrawny dipshit with his asscrack hanging out, pumping his arms up and down like a monkey, screaming "whatcha gonna do? whatcha gonna do"?

Or my favourite, I call it "American boxing": 🤣

"FUCK YOU!"

"No, fuck you!"

"NO, FUCK YOU!!"

Etc.

Geezus.... what happened to you, John Wayne? The slightest disagreement, that could and should be settled with a tight slap, now turns into a fucken SWAT team and helicopters circus and everybody in sight gets  ARRESTED.

And of course the "Motocross media" douchebags fan the flames for clicks and likes.

Classy, just like posing with a wad of cash.....

Mike is well. He's not angry. He was with his family at the St. Mary's River on 3 July. His daughter wanted to catch some minnows. The open pole barn was nearby. He took the net with every intention of returning it. As happens here, a nasty thunderstorm blew up. They dropped the net and scrambled for home. Mike was going to return and pick it up and put it back the next day, but got busy and forgot about it. That's really all there is to the story. As of yesterday, the all important net is still where they dropped it when running from the storm.

Lol...I was talking to Papa Reynard in the pits at Thunder Valley while he was changing the water pump while Robbie snarfed his sammich and his dad's.  Mom ratted him out, "And he ate all the doritos".

Normal shit under the tent for families.  Just normal humans and I dig it.

Are you saying that after all of this bruhaha that the net was still laying where Mike dropped it from July 3 to yesterday, July 23 and the neighbor that had him arrested or reported his net stolen didn’t just walk over to the lot next door and retrieve his property?  20 days?

Is the neighbor being a little irrational. Yes. Should MA800 have returned the net? Absofuckinglutely! Sounds like if he’d of spent an extra 30 seconds this could have all been avoided.

He was arrested for borrowing and failing to return a small fishing net from a nearby building? The owner of the net involved the police in that? The net is worth what, maybe $20? I’m guessing it’s the principle - that Mike had the audacity to go onto the property. Still, if this is really all it is, it’s almost unbelievably petty - especially if the guy knew the net was there. That’s assuming that the story is as trivial and benign as Harry’s Severed Write Arm indicates - and I’m inclined to believe someone with that username!

Exactly. The picture of the net was taken yesterday.

Ha! Yes it's trivial. When I told Mike earlier today "You know that was a mistake to do that?" He said yes, and he was just trying to make his girl's happy. As you can see from the pic above, as of yesterday, this $11 net is still where it was dropped. Mike is not going to try and return it now that charges have been brought. I wouldn't touch it either. The woman doing this is a known troublemaker and is on the Hilliard town council. She once ran for mayor. Nevertheless, Mike knows he screwed up, and he will not make the mistake again. I hope it doesn't come across as me making excuses for him. As I said above, I told him it was wrong. He knows that.

To y'all that have noted Mike's love for his friends, his family, his fans, Mike says thanks (yes he's read this thread).

Here's the Mike I know; after coming in from his first practice laps this morning, covered in North Florida sweat, he pulls me a chair up next to his. A generator was powering a fan. I sit down and Mike looks at me and asks, "Are you getting enough air from the fan?" That's the real Mike.

There’s got to be a lawsuit coming. You just don’t help yourself to another man’s fishnet. Imagine the pain and suffering the victim endured. Surely that’s worth $$$$thousands!

Edit: Saw the post above - it’s a woman not a man. I don’t know if they’re as protective of their fishnets.

I’m making light of this because it seems silly but in all seriousness, I’m sorry that Mike has to go through this aggravation.

Grow up dude. That horse has been rode to death. Comments like yours are why I come here maybe once a year. The vast majority of Vital folks are good people with a serious love for moto. It's just a few of you that make Vital almost unbearable for me. But whatever...keep on being a Richard Head.

See above.

Gotcha. Maybe have a third party return it. It’ll say more about his character, than her lack of it.  Sounds like a Krazy Karen.

I would tell Mike not to worry, everyone goes to jail. I've been to the drunk tank 7 times. Met a lot of good people in jail. I haven't been back since they don't allow cigarettes anymore.

I'd be inclined to return the net and see if he can make friends. Not sure what he has to lose at this point by apologizing.

I'd be inclined to return the net and see if he can make friends. Not sure what he has to lose at this point by apologizing.

It would be a violation of his conditions of release. Krazy Karen would send him right back to jail.
