that was a shit load of dirt right there.

especially compared to the 13 truck loads it takes to build the lame tracks these days

Man I miss Pontiac SX. That place was so awesome. Went there many times. I wish they would bring it back, it was always packed and the crowd was always crazy. There were some classic one liners from the announcer. Pretty funny.

Sorry JMAR but we have not had an era like that since, but with the three guys we had on the box last weekend and a couple more that had issues we could approach it. And man I miss the SilverBag so much... I remember how
dissapointed I was when I showed up one year and the track no longer went into the stands. Those were the days!
(anybody got any Chicken/Bradshaw stuff?... that was a love tap compared to those two guys!)

Funny...I was just there last weekend for a "Snocross" race. Haven't seen the inside of the place in about 6 years or so. I was expecting it to be all hoopdied out, but it was pretty much the same as it always was...which is to say Freakin' Huge and industrial. Whoever owns it now seems to be keeping it in good shape, and it seems to me that if they can host a (pretty ghey) snowmobile race in there and draw 30,000 people, they could really pack a Supercross with people. I think Pontiac used to have one of the largest crowds on the tour, and I'm sure it would be again. the floor is huge, and if they run er' up into the stands like they used to, we might see minute+ lap times...imagine! Who can forget 02' when RC looped out in the first laps, got up dead last and still almost won? I don't think you'll see that again with 45-second lap times...the race is just over too quick. Start writing your congressmen.....
