Funny how the same crowd that swear on their mother's grave that "the Russians interfered with US elections"  deny that China does the same.... because Trump said so. 🤣

Ya think Russia and China sat out the 2020 and 2024 elections, because they had a change of heart and suddenly believed in "fair and free" elections?

Newsflash, hotshot -- as fucked up as the US voting system is, EVERYBODY takes a shot at it. Case of Bud Light (each) says North Korea, India, Israel, Iran, Saudi, France, UK, Germany. Nigeria, Mexico and a few more do too...... or try. It ain't hard!

As long as anybody can vote by mail and citizenship isn't verified AT THE POLLS, voting does about as much good as seatbelts on a KTM 450.

You do realize that  just because You cast a ballot doesn't mean that it is automatically counted right?  They do have ways they check to make...

You do realize that  just because You cast a ballot doesn't mean that it is automatically counted right?  They do have ways they check to make sure people only vote one time. And that same process could confirm they are legal to vote by requiring the proof to register.Ann states that require you to register to vote require at minimum something to prove You are who You claim and many do require proof of citizenship of the state or town the voter lives in at minimum.    Ballots are rejected for multiple reasons. Its really hard to find any data on in person ballot rejection rates.  Mail in ballots have the best stats available. with the national average being 1.5 % rejection rate. And one state had a just under 9% rejection rate . I think it was Arizona.

If Your worried about people making fake IDs' or using fake IDs' to vote, requiring ID will not do anything to filter that out.  Unless they had a foolproof process for matching the photo on an ID to the photo that is supposed to be on the ID. People could still use another identity if that is what people are worried about.  They have had a system in place to make sure a voters vote only gets counted once. Even if they try voting more than 1 time. The voter ID number tracks the vote and lets them know if it has been used.  It is publicly available info in most states. You can not see what the votes were for as far as candidate level. But  You can see who voted in what elections and how they were registered to vote at the time.

I do think its funny to see a similar argument from the opposite sides of the political spectrum when it comes to gun control.  With one side sometimes arguing that requiring ID to buy a gun is against the constitution  and overreach. And the other saying that if it stopped just one death it would be worth the impact to legal gun owners.

And then You see similar arguments for and against certain levels of ID being required for voting , but it's mostly flipped to the opposite side of the political spectrum.

Its funny to think about how similar the  two arguments really are. And how they just get flipped to the opposite party  but the arguments ( both for and against ) stay similar.

I don’t think anyone really is saying no voter Id, I’m not. But it needs to be done in a way that it still promotes voter turnout and doesn’t hinder certain groups of people.  We need more eligible voters voting, not less.

I didn't mean just on vital, more in a general sense how the arguments boil down to being so similar.  I really would hope that there is not a large group of people who think that just anybody should be able to buy a gun without any form of ID either. But there are people advocating for that.  I can not recall any democrat Leaders that are saying that there shouldn't be any form of ID required for Voter registration .

A voter ID number is like a social security number.    Your Social is needed for a loan, etc.    For a ballot to be counted it has to match a voter ID number . It can be used to find out which elections a specific voter ID number was used to vote in.  ID when registering is more important than at the polls.  Each voter ID number can only have a vote counted one time.  And like a broken record , most states will give out this info. So if there  were votes getting counted multiple times , it would be easy to prove.

I think its important to do while registering. Easier to check info since it is likely at a lower volume than on the day voting is taking place. And a simple photo ID showing You are who You claim should be enough on the day Your voting.  If You proved You were a citizen when You registered why have to carry that same proof at the poles?  Accepting a regular lic or photo ID is not what Democratic leaders are against that have spoken out against Voter ID. I think You know this, so it's directed more at other posters.

If You can fake a drivers lic. that is able to be read and checked, faking a birth certificate wouldn't be any harder.  But that voter ID number comes into play and allows the tracking of each vote so claims of votes being counted multiple times should be able to be proven false with that info and some basic math. And it would also do as much to only allow citizens to vote as any other step they are requiring.

I’m saying there is likely context to it that is missing and a fundamental misunderstanding of how those machines work. And also you posted an OAN video that was posted by Trump. So I can say for sure it will be highly biased to his viewpoint.

Do you have intimate knowledge of how those machines work?  There are explanations that make sense. Like each batch must be saved after it’s ran or its starts over. Each ballot also has unique bar codes to prevent duplicates. If it was as you portray it would be the most open and shut case in history and how many have gone to jail?

As moogenken said believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

"Like each batch must be saved after it’s ran or its starts over." So you're claiming you have intimate knowledge of the machine?

And you and only you have the proper spin to make sense of it? Why do you think they're fighting tooth and nail to not give up the info?

If everything you think is true why are the women in that video not in jail? Instead they're rich from winning defamation lawsuits.

I wasn’t talking about Vital in general either. What is out there right now, more than a majority of Americans believe that Trump is doing whatever he can to make the election go his way mainly by doing things that aren’t legal. That being said that they also believe the Save Act is one means of doing that by making it hard for certain groups to vote.  When you go back and look at the elections from 2016, 2020, 2024 yes Russia did everything to sway people with social media and it had an effect, but there is zero evidence of any actual vote manipulation.   I think people would get onboard to voter ID if it was made far so any American can do it easily and doesn’t hamper voter turnout. But at this point in time, there is no way to get that done by Election Day.

If there were votes counted multiple times. You could prove it by looking at voter data.  Each voter ID number can only be counted as a single vote.  So if You had it show up as more votes than voter ID's having voted. That would prove that votes were counted  for more than a single vote.

Because our government is infiltrated with TDS operatives. Just look at all these activist judges trying to keep violent illegal alien criminals here. Hell, even the Fulton county district atty colluded with the white house to get Trump and his circle of supporters. How the hell does a state change the law just to go after one person? Or a court that lets  conviction where the accuser can't remember any relevant details and there's no evidence? Or you go after someone when there's no victim, and the entity you want to call a victim testifies they are all good, so good they want to do it again. It's a country full of people with TDS.

I wasn’t talking about Vital in general either. I meant the people that are making the arguments. Not that there are alot of people making them.  But the people that are making those arguments are using similar arguments just flipped .

I know that the majority of people support  Voter ID.   The breakdown only comes when you start qualifying it.

With Trump having been pushing for the Real ID or Passport  behind the scenes and then talking like its a regular driver's lic. that is needed while  on TV and in public. Doing that seems obvious to me that he's trying to stop people from voting by not making it clear they need the extra proof that is not common yet. Banking on people going to vote, not having the needed ID and being unable to vote since by then there wouldn't be enough time to get the needed ID.

Just all of the confusion is likely to keep people from voting  at some level.

If You go and read the version of the Save act that made it the farthest. I think its the Save act not the Save America act.

It changes the requirements they are asking for as far as ID. And a birth certificate with standard Lic. would work in any state, and regular drivers Lic alone in 26 states with NO proof of citizenship needed.

The exemption is for 26 states that have shared or made a promise to share their voter registration  data since june of 2025 quarterly.

They seem to really want to have access to all of the voter registration info all in one federal  database. Instead of being only stored at the local level.  That and the federal requirement for ID to register seems to be the only sticking points when You compare the original with the version that has made it the farthest along in the process.

I'm not sure why they have 2 similar bills. Maybe it's easier to write a new one than make changes to a proposed one? maybe they are still trying to push the more strict one through too.No idea.

I still want to see Fauci hung on the National Mall. You know in Nuremberg they executed journalists for lying to the people?

People could still use another identity if that is what people are worried about.  They have had a system in place to make sure a voters vote only gets counted once.

Unless it's the people counting your vote that want it counted twice. You did see the video of election workers running stacks of ballots through the tabulator multiple times right?

You don't have to believe me, but maybe at least believe your eyes.

Well even if any of that was true, it does seem like you and all your people seem to believe that then it ok for the people you seems to agree with to commit crime, break the laws, do unconstitutional acts and steal. If anybody that on there broke the law they should be held accountable.

I still want to see Fauci hung on the National Mall. You know in Nuremberg they executed journalists for lying to the people?

Excuse me, They/Them, who exactly are, “your people”?

Taste testers.

I meant the people that are making the arguments. Not that there are alot of people making them.  But the people that are making those arguments...

" I'm not sure why they have 2 similar bills. Maybe it's easier to write a new one than make changes to a proposed one? maybe they are still trying to push the more strict one through too.No idea. "

I'm still trying to figure that one out too. The Save Act is OK but the Save America Act is a no go for me.

First of allegations are not an indictment, an indictment is not a conviction. So just because you alleged something doesn’t mean a dam thing! So going from you implying something to pardons is quite a jump.  What I can say if someone broke the law, they should stand trial for it, if they are found guilty then they should be held accountable.  Can you say that or will there be some other reason that you will defend the indefensible.

1 John 5:19 actually clears up everything we see going on in the World today.

Lot of people interpret that differently. Curious what your meaning by going on in the World today in regards to that?

Company's paid workers in chits.

Only accepted in company stores.

Lived in company communities.

Company schools, churches, etc...

Then when the companies left, it created massive poverty across a huge swath of this nation.

Still apparent to this day.

I've done a lot of mt biking around the area.

Unbelievable impoverished living conditions.

Lots of rusted relics left behind, with small communities located nearby most of them.

You forgot to mention that all those coal companies colluded with each other. Most of them would accept scrip from other companies, but at reduced value, typically 20%-50% of face value

Jesus basically saying that he doesn’t nothing without the father?  Meaning there in unity! So why is Satan in control?

After the 1992 election, the Washington press corps was polled as to how they voted. 89% clinton 7% Bush. Popular vote 43% Clinton 37% Bush. There's your debate answer.

My guess is that Soggy already looked it up and found out it was totally true. The person who actually conducted the survey was Elaine Povitch. She was later questioned by the Washington Times about how that confirmed the right's contention that the press was biased. She said that she was certain that they all were able to put their bias aside and accurately report on the candidates. You believe her don't you?

Ironically enough, what people seem to miss is this is a states rights issue at it's core.

From https://constitution.congress.gov/

US Constitution, Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

The Supreme Court has interpreted the Elections Clause expansively, enabling states to provide a complete code for congressional elections, not only as to times and places, but in relation to notices, registration, supervision of voting, protection of voters, prevention of fraud and corrupt practices, counting of votes, duties of inspectors and canvassers, and making and publication of election returns

This was decided in Smiley v. Holm, 285 U.S. 355, 366 (1932)

So no matter what restrictions might be enacted, they'd be very likely to be ruled unconstitutional
