Been listening to isolated drum tracks of Bonham daily. Opens up a new world listening to him play.
Even some of the songs not high on my list sound great.

You’ll dig this. At Rick’s memorial dinner.

We've done four already, but now we're steady

And then they went, "One, two, three, four"

Oh, man Zeppelin brings back so many memories and I still love listening to them.

I'll never forget one of my earlier concerts, 1975-76 time frame the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, where the Lakers played. It was the Physical Graffiti album and they absolutely ROCKED the arena!

Love watching this girl dance reminds me of my first girlfriend...... 😛

There's a remix of, house's of the holy.

With a bonus disc without vocals on numerous cuts.

A bit strange listen at first, but you really get to hear Jimmy Page's mastery without Plant's vocals.

Which, IMO, sometimes overpowered things.

There's also a film out there, "becoming Led Zeppelin that's a must see.

Oh man what an awesome thread.   Such good music from that band.  Damn.

Now my head is fulla memories of black velvet posters of the Zig-Zag man in black light, incense sticks burning, strawberry EZ-Widers stuffed with Acapulco Gold and tube tops.

If you haven't seen "Becoming Led Zeppelin", you need to Bloody Well Watch It !

It is a Fantastic film / documentary.

I urge All of you to seek it out - hell, be 'Old School' and get a Hard Copy in the form of DVD / Blu Ray !

I think you could rank them in a lot of orders depending on what you are looking for, but one thing I believe completely is that having all 4 of them together was far better than just the sum of their parts.....

And that's saying a lot because they were/are all tremendous musicians in their own right!

While every member made a vital contribution, without Page, there’s no Zep.  The end result would have been different had any member been replaced, but Jimmy was the primary composer of those riffs and melodies. JPJ also contributed significantly, as did Plant, but man!  Those lyrics never struck a chord with me. Then again, I’m a huge Sabbath fan…

It’s hard to put into words. It’s actually difficult to imagine them being something other than they are and their body of work being different than it is. I feel the same way about the Beatles , except in there case we got to see what it was like after their split. Each was great , but nothing matched what they did together. I’m happy I was actually around during both bands time although a young lad, I was.

The hardest part of being in my 40s, is when I realize I’m almost 60!
