He’s not right when he says white people don’t care .  His comments are as racist as those punks in the truck.

Did you read your own words before you hit send? You're claiming he's the racist one? All he did was go for a fun night out that turned to shit because of some racist punks. And him telling his story is the appropriate thing to do. And the people here that I really thought better of are now proving how little they care. Instead of saying "ya that's really fucked up" they're upset he's telling about it. There's no fucking way him getting out of his car is going to turn into anything good. But the reactions (here, this board) to him telling his story just proves he's right. I can't believe how little empathy people have here. I guess empathy is the wrong word as empathy means you have an understanding of the situation. Some of the comments here are just fucked up.

Done ranting, TM

When you apply a certain behavior or attitude to an entire race, that’s a racism. Furthermore, did you realize that by him saying “white people don’t care” he’s actually implying that you’re racist. Not to mention anyone white ,that drives a lifted truck.

Saying white people don’t care isn’t racist. And you’re kind of proving his point by trying to make yourself (the white man) the victim.

It's sad to see how many people are showing that they don't care.  I'm surprised by a lot of the replies on here .

I just hate that the sport I love , that Sal also loves. Has given him the impression he has. And that so many people lack basic  respect for people that are different from them. Sadly society as a whole seems to be heading more in this direction . Hate and division. It's not exclusive to any single sector of life.

Learning from things like this , taking something away from it. Perhaps an understanding that Your perception of reality is not the same as everybody else's. And perhaps enough fans will see the negative post he made and go up to him next time and show him that the sport is not entirely full of assholes. Maybe he will have some people come up to him at the next race and show him the amazing side of Moto being one big family and apologizing for(  what I believe is a minority of the fans) poor behavior.  Or even just being a respectful person towards the other fans at races. Afterall we all share the love for Moto and I have seen that single thing bring so many people together that would never agree on anything , if not for moto.

Perhaps you should understand that your perception of reality is not the same as mine and why should i have to think the way you do?

I never said You had to think like I do.  Just that perception is reality , and everybody's perception of reality is not the same.

Instead of writing off somebody's experience and telling them to handle it how You would.  They are not the same as You. So why should they think like you?

I'm just saying that it would be nice if people would be more considerate of each other. And that looking at something from their perspective ( like everybody, not just a single side of a perspective ) can lead to that.  Not that You have to change the way You think about how You feel about whatever beliefs you have. Just  to consider the way other people think in addition. And that when people do that it seems like there are less misunderstandings and people get along better.

Kenny, kind of surprised to read this from you. Is it representative of all white people? No, but it still happens enough that it's more likely to be true than not. Trying to minimize what shitty white people do because "black" people do it to doesn't make it OK. That attitude will only enable people to accept things like this are OK. Sorry but you're better than that.

The attitude that needs to be adopted by everyone is this. Treat people how you want to be treated. Also if some dipshits are being disrespectful, get out of your car and teach them a lesson if front of their friends. Don’t hold it in until a year and a half later. Men need to act like men!

This post is the prime example of why Salema Masekela is right when he says he's wishes white people would just give a fuck. This post implies that it's his responsibility to fix shitty ass white people that are harassing him for no other reason than his skin color. The fact that the person who wrote this post doesn't care that the shitty ass white people were doing this to begin with is the whole problem. NO person should have to live their life getting into a fight every other day to fix a problem because other people "don't give a fuck" that it exists. The fact that it's not isolated to white doing it to black or blacks doing it to whites is irrelevant. It shouldn't be being done at all. There will always be shitty ass people among us, it's not one persons responsibility to fix it. If that's your solution, then you're part of the problem.

TM

ToolMaker and I rarely agree on anything, so when we do it should be considered a virtual slam dunk.

His posts on this topic have been about 1000% correct, +/- .00001%.

In my first post , I wasn't  singling  any specific person out in my post.    In the reply that I quoted You in  I was trying to explain what I meant more clearly.

When I read posts on here I try not to look at screen names unless I'm quoting them in the reply or addressing a single poster.  So I may not have connected something You said in other posts to You. In other words I may have missed it. But  it still seemed like You misunderstood what I meant either way. But sounds like You know what I mean now.

I like reading through posts without looking at the poster until after or sometimes not at all. I feel like it helps me read a post with less of any bias I may have before I finish reading it.

Needed to bump up the click count?

As others have mentioned, I’ve had similar experiences on a different corner of the color wheel. Been run off of job sites, mocked/laughed at at gas stations, refused service at restaurants.. also been treated like family by complete strangers who don’t look like me many, many times. It turns out, some people are just enormous assholes, and the skin color is irrelevant.

Accountability for shit behavior is an individual responsibility, not a group responsibility.

The responsibility for the behavior is always on the individual, punishment/accountability is determined and delivered by the culture.

Hysterical reactions over a social media allegation. The New Amerikan Kulture, eh?

Hilarious how 99% of the ruff-n-tuff independent thinkers around here INSTANTLY believe a social media story and run with it 🤣

Geez.... BREATHE, slow down and THINK before you get all emotional!

Maybe consider the KNOWN FACTS before jumpiing to conclusions and start yelling WYTE SUPREMACISS ?

First -- an ALLEGATION on social media doesn't mean DICK. -- ask any cop or lawyer or corporate HR nazi.  Does he have any EVIDENCE? Video? Audio? He didn't take out his iPhone during an encounter that supposedly lasted several minutes?  Hell -- people do it when someone gets run over by a bus!

Second -- the source. This individual is an attention-seeker who makes $$ by TALKING (not much different than giving handjobs behind dumpsters, but there ya go). . He understands extremely well how to manipulate people's perceptions and emotions with words.  WORDS = $$ in his world.

Third -- He waited 18 MONTHS to go public with this story. Why now?

Fourth -- Did anyone consider for ONE second, the possibility of yet another race hoax before losing their shit?  Remember these two? How did that turn out, after their social media allegation--shitstorms were investigated?

jussie-smollett.jpg?VersionId=NzoB2N.EYSD6jrlCfLFen336TQnoose-2.jpg?VersionId=.stfqCXakGfoAG8n4t.62t9F

(Answer: one went to jail, the other became a pariah in the stupid WWF With Wheels sport he partakes in, when the FBI SWAT team that parachutied in  to some race track  discovered that the NOOSE that the "white supremacists" hung in his garage was actually the door opener.)

And what did he do? He doubled down and got another million LIKES.  A lying $$ grabbing sack o'shit, in other words.

Back to this SOCIAL MEDIA ALLEGATION.

Did it happen? Maybe.

Are there assholes at every level of society? Yes.

Can he, or you, or me, change ALL peoples' behavior to suit us? No.

What can we do about that?  Sweet fanny FUCKALL. So..... go eat some cement and harden the fuck up, pussy!

This guy spends lots of time around "extreme" sports, are the people who do it and attend such events, whom he associates with regularly, all or most RAY--CISS?  Doubtful.

Is he a doiuchebag for implying that? Yes.

Is he trying to make $$ off clicks and likes? Maybe.... probably..... you betcha.

Is anybody who gets all emotional over UNPROVEN siocial media ALLEGATIONS  kinda stoopid? Fuck yeah 🤣

Read the thread,  then read the article.  Its not a very well written piece.  They half lost me at the lifted trucks, and ironically only one black man racing part. Like any of those things are racist.

I've always liked Sal.  He was a fine x games commentator.  Sounds like he may have fun into a few drunk assholes?  It happens, no matter what color you are.
