Sacha still going atleast in 9th now, hopefully bike can hold out!

Anybody got a link to live timing ? None appear to be working

Guess the guy or gal in charge of livetiming didnt get the memo that they moved the races up?

It will be interesting to see if the bike keeps going.

It may well be the break for Farres that brings things back  for him, points wise.

I fear Sacha won't get up one day - he hit(s) So Bloody Hard at times.

14 points wow!
Maybe wishful thinking but Simon 51 points is still doable as well. He made a step in the right direction this weekend but need like 7 more steps

What was the reason for the races being moved up? I tuned in to what I thought was supposed to be the first MXGP moto but was actually the second MX2 moto.

Herlings might be the best passer I've seen in this generation of riders. Once he gets going he finds gaps that simpy don't exist and manages to keep it clean in the process. That pass on Febvre was crazy work. The only thing that comes close is first lap Roczen

Herlings made an Instagram post about the shadows potentially being very dangerous, and he later had a meeting with the organisation and they decided to move up the whole event a couple of hours.

Def the right call going mach 11 the whole race! Cool track tho, like a flat GH/video game track.

Why are there no local Fox dealers to present the black plates this weekend?

Great for Vlaanderen to secure a 4th overall in front of his home crowd. Congratulations to CV10 and the whole Ducati crew.

I'm sure this has been mentioned already but I'm sort of stunned and disappointed with the lack of fan support. I'm on board with South Africa having a GP and the track looked like a REAL GP track and set up and prep look as good as the racing. But I still can't get over the lack of the crowd and not many fans at the trophy presentation. Not a good look. Hopefully it gains traction. Can't wait to see the Coenen's in person next week at Southwick!!!!!!

You would need to live in SA to understand. Most of us are so hard pressed financially. The majority of fans are middle class folk, who have been hit down by the economy over the last 10 yrs.

Middle class basically doesn't exist anymore. You are either wealthy or you are facing financial challenges. I for one, had to work but if I was off from work, I'd still not attend because flights. accommodation and everything else would cost me half a months salary for one GP....just for myself.

That's the sad reality.

With all those points you've made Boom, I think it was a pretty good amount of spectators attending - What looked to be VIP type / or at least covered areas, had plenty of people.

I myself, for the second year running, won't get to the Darwin GP.  ' She Who Must Be Obeyed ' is a massive Suzanne Vega fan, and her only concert in Sydney, at the Opera House, is the night before the GP. So, off to that, and living it up in some swanky, Harbourside Hotel for that weekend . It's on her $$$, at least.

Maybe next year for Darwin, but, it is  barely cheaper than  getting to a Euro GP. And far more expensive than going to the Indonesian and Thai GPs I've gone to. China this year, I've looked into, and, that is more affordable than the OZ MXGP, FFS!

I'm ( hopefully ) in for Arnhem on the 23rd of August, as I'm going to the MTB World Championships the week after, at Val di Sole, Trentino.

Ahhhh. I'm sorry. That's hard to hear. The track looked good and the racing was as well. I feel there shouldn't be GPs in some of the odd places but not South Africa. It's a important part of the sport. With what you mentioned then the GP was successful and didn't mean to be negative at all. I'm impressed . Hopefully things get easier and the GP grows

Sorry to hear. A colleague of mine is from SA and has also mentioned some really nasty protests and things near his house recently. Doesn't sound like a great time all around, and not surprising that MXGP isn't high on the priority list or financial agenda for many
