Terrible. What’s up with all these plane crashes lately??

I honestly couldn't tell you, but it does seem like every couple of months there's a story about a plane going down. I know that commercial flight accidents are rare, but these smaller plane seem to be going down pretty often.

Back in April, an Air Canada flight crashed into a fire truck on the runway at LaGuardia in NY. I just read another article about a Delta flight and Am. Airlines' flights coming within 500' of each other yesterday at Logan in Boston. Weird stuff.

The one with the fire truck was a major fuck up. That should've never happened. Truck didn't stop and the two pilots were killed. Sad thing all around.

I saw the Ubisoft co-founder died in a small plane crash a couple days ago and a Austin Texas startup tech guy that was known as the “godfather” of startups in Texas died in a plane crash last week I believe.

I just googled it, clicked on an article and at the bottom it showed another story about a plane crash killing 12 last week.

Wow that is horrible and sad.

I started playing Ghosts of Yōtei and already about 3/4 through i think. Its pretty amazing and almost like controling a real movie.  The sword fighting is excellent and there is lots of side quests and puzzles everywhere. Definitel has a lot of climbing like the Uncharted series.

I've been playing Easy Red 2 a ton lately. It's a low budget WW2 shooter with a tiny team but it's fun (albeit janky).

It's largely single player, kinda like the old Battlefield 1942 but on steroids. Player vs bots (although there is multiplayer). You're spawned within a squad and can choose from stuff like squad leader, rifleman, anti-tank, support gunner, radioman, sapper, marksman, medic, or choose a tank squad or aircraft. It's largely just "go and capture that point" or "defend" but it's a blast. It's not a "play as the war hero" type game, it's more of a "spawn and occasionally last 45 seconds before getting caught in artillery".

Huge maps. It's divided up into campaigns - Cassino, Anzio, Tunisia North, Tunisia South, Makin Atoll, Kos, Marshall Islands (operation Flintlock), Stalingrad, D-Day (including all the beaches + some airborne stuff), Battle of the Bulge, initial German invasion of France, Shanghai & Nanking, and Hungary. Each campaign has around 10-15 missions that progress chronologically through the campaign. Some of these are DLC but the game is only like $10 and the DLC is $5.99 a pop so it's suuper cheap.

It's kinda hard sometimes too. With bigger matches the engagements are slightly more realistic, where you're often just laying down behind a rock or bush and shooting at muzzle flashes. For what it costs its a LOT of fun (to me)

Am I the only one that has paid for GTA 6 so far? Ultimate Edition it was.

Crazy time for hardware at the moment. According to digital foundry etc the consoles (and by default used console market also) prices are going to climb to the sky. Not their exact words but reading between the lines.

Xbox is putting the Series X up to just under $800. Good God... The world went to hell with part shortages. The 2tb model is being dropped altogether. PC scene is also increasingly dire.

I suspect most here will have their PS5's by now but if you don't, then I wouldn't wait too much longer personally (I'm talking days/weeks).
