By Walking around the entire track you will see just how different the track is from what is seen on TV. Hills are steeper and off cambers are more angled.

It always rains at High Point so be prepared for it

No shade. If you're taking chairs also take a little garden hand spade to dig a couple little holes to place the chair legs into to level them on hillsides. Definitely raincoat no matter the forecast.

Time your bathroom breaks, lines are long.

If it rains plan on not getting out for a bit. Oh, and take out another mortgage on the house to pay to get in there.

A lot of great viewing areas on the track if you’re willing to move around.  As of right now, the weather looks good but it’s southwestern PA in June and can change at any minute.

I always suggest watching a moto on each side of the valley. There are good views all over, so it's worth trying a few different spots. Otherwise, no shade so you will likely either be very hot and sunburnt or very wet, if it rains. And it likely does both, as weather there is very unpredictable.

If you have a decent camera, take it. (Target has a Canon Rebel on sale this week - it's a good body, but try to keep dust out of it. A 100-300 lens works well. Other sales are on for Father's Day, as well.) You can get some good photos at High Point. As others have mentioned, if you're camping for 4 days you will get wet. Take a lot of water for drinking and washing, and extra clothes. I've been to most Nationals, coast to coast, and High Point is one of my favorites.
