not being able to watch a replay of a 3pm race till 10pm on a streaming platform is not great

They need several hours to add in their ad breaks at every possible place they can add them throughout the broadcast so they can make more money off of you not being able to watch what you've already paid them to be able to watch. It's not that hard to understand.

I came in after 450 moto 2 where James was explaining the points spread , and was able to rewind to 250 moto2 with 18min on the clock.  That is the standard scenario that I have done many times.

Most of the time if I then try to navigate to the 450 moto2 start it will hang and I will have to exit Peacock and start all over.  Peacock is not the worst Firecube app (Paramount+ is by far the worst) but it is second worst.

Watching on a Tivo OTA DVR is the best (if the full race is ever on the OTA channel) and DirecTV DVR (on a cable channel) is second best.

Yeah, I'm also a dinosaur who still uses TiVo.  I wish somebody would invent a TiVo that works on streaming broadcasts.

Yeah ridiculous you can’t rewind it after it starts on ALL platforms and the replay isn’t a available within 1/2 hour of it finishing

I assume it takes some time for them to edit out the ad breaks?

But I would be satisfied if they just made the live broadcast (including ads) available right away, and then they can replace it with the ad-free version once it's ready.

I always assumed that adding in the ad breaks is easy.  Because if I remember (I've been paying for the full ad-free version for a couple years), the ads aren't placed in natural breaking points, they just stick them in at pre-determined intervals.  It's probably the live ad/break removal process that takes more time.

It’s strange because sometimes you can start from the beginning if you get a late start and sometimes you can’t.

We got home an hour and a half after it started and were able to rewind to the beginning, as well as fast forward.  I've watched a few that way. As long as you tune in before the broadcast is over, you can hit pause, then go back and start from the beginning. Once it's over you have to wait. That's how we watched the daytime supercross rounds. But you're right, that worked "most" of the time, not all

Same for me

You can only pause & rewind if you have an actual Roku. If you have a smart tv with Roku installed on it you can’t. In my camper I bought a smart tv & you can’t pause or rewind. I literally plug a Roku into it & use that & it will pause & rewind. I’m always racing Saturdays. Took me a little bit to figure this out but glad I did!

Someeeee smart TVs may be able to pause & rewind but most don’t have the capability.

Peacock is a horrible platform. Netflix, Amazon, HBOMax all perform way better. They need to work to make their system better before they raise rates.

Peacock doesn’t allow you to rewind and watch from the start?
At least the international stream does that, although we pay an extortionate price for it.

Depends on where the broadcast is at. If it is 3/4 of the way through you can only go a 1/3 of the way back. Even if you can rewind it, you run the risk of seeing a spoiler. Other sports broadcast have a “start at the beginning” button. Wish peacock had that.

Once again another topic the journalist of this sport could reach out to the powers to be and have a story asking why and if changes are coming in the future to address the complaints that would get eyeballs on the story. But yet again we will have to settle with reading reworded PR statements about the riders last race instead.
