It's interesting how their career is evolving.
Jett came out to be as brilliant as a racer can be, with all the good qualities : speed, bike control, physical endurance, race strategy. But he has been fighting through injuries a lot, which downgraded hil temporary.
Hunter started slow, not badly but not at the very top of the list, and he is aging like fine wine and improving season by season. He is now one of the very best on the planet.
Hunter reminds me of Jeff Stanton. Solid, reliable, tough. Not the flashiest, but all about business.
I do hope Hunter can get some championships like Stanton did.
Everyone talking about Deegan and Prado being an issue for Jett over the years, honesty I think Hunter is going to be the problem. He's obviously raised his level, and it is going to be interesting to see if Jett can get back there and above it, I think this is Jetts biggest challenge.
i believe Hunter has now finished top 5 in 46 out of 47 motos in 450 Outdoors, and the one he missed was a 6th. You don’t get more solid than that.
Meanwhile his brother is a freak.
Jett is the phenom but Hunter has had a model career so far.

Hunter has been managing a back injury for most of his US career.
Wow, seriously? I didn’t know that. Crash @ GP?
Side note - how much do you suppose it helps to have 2 of the top guys training together at the same facility? 18 & 96 at The Dogpound.
I do remember him dropping out of the SMX finale, the first year of that "championship." It was a back issue
2019, 2020 ish, Hunter had collar bone and ACL, injuries that set him back early in his career. All riders performance cycle up a d down with their health. Kenny and Jett are the latest examples.
I hate to say it, because it would be such a bummer, but should Jett be racing? Listening to him talk about his injury post race and all the post race analysis, its disheartening. I wonder if they already have a plan in place where if racing is setting him back too much they pull the plug after a certain race
Agreed.
Even with better starts, I don't see him able to keep a hard charge going through both motos.
Like we saw with Hunter and Prado.
And watching overhead replays of the starts, showed him being tentative.
And rightfully so.
Reinjury could be a career ender.
These next few rounds are going to be very telling.
Its sucks. I selfishly want to see him out there. But imagine if something happened that sets him back another whole year. He's 12pts down after one race. If he's down 20+ points after Thunder Valley do they reexamine if he should be out there? There's lots of if's in my post. I wanna see him get a holeshot and see what that moto looks like

It's not just 2 top guys training together, it's 2 top guys who support each other training together.
