They did the Race across America a few years back.
They said on Pulp that they’re trying to set the record which is insane. They mentioned less than a handful of hours sleeping over the course of 50ish hours to complete it in tandem. BEASTS! Very cool

I listened to Wardy on the Pulp show on Monday night and wondered why they were talking about sleeping in the chase vehicle, only doing 15 minute sessions, hoping to do 17.5mph average, and making such a big deal about riding a motorcycle for 860 miles...... then someone mentioned they are doing this on bicycles and I almost shit a brick.

In 2017 Micky and Wardy teamed up with David Bailey and Doug Henry for the even longer Race Across America. That team, with Bailey and Henry in hand-cycles, took second in the 4-man 3,000-mile race from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. Were it not for a few miscues, they could have won!
Here's some video from that year when they went through Monument Valley.
I give these bros credit….I”m good for about 25-30 miles…
Congrats to the 2026 Trailblazers Hall of Fame inductees - Brad Baker, Ronnie Jones, Jim Holley (Flanders Lifetime Achievement Award), Dave Arnold, Kel Carruthers (Dick Hammer Award recipient), Mitch Payton, Jeff Ward and Randy Hall.

On the finish-line stage of the 2017 Race Across America. With Doug Henry and David Bailey on handcycles, and Micky Dymond and Jeff Ward on bicycles, the four completed their 3,070-mile journey from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland in seven days, 19 hours, and 58 minutes…an average speed was 16.33mph. They finished second in their category (four-person 50-59 team), about four hours behind a team all competing on regular bikes.
It takes such a crazy level of fitness to do this. This isnt a club level.century

While Jeff Ward and Micky Dymond are legends in the moto world, they're relative unknowns in ultra-cycling. In this video Podcast with UltraCycling Magazine, the two are introduced to the people-powered 2-wheel world.
A few years ago the two joined up to lay out a new motocross course in Sturgis, South Dakota.
These guys are animals, especially Wardy. Check him out on the Whiskey Throttle show to see how hard this dude still trains.
