In a responce to the Daily News who bashed our sport, a group has been created on Facebook to post pictures of our family sport that will show a different story. There is no bashing of any other sport allowed, The purpost is to unite and show our dignity.

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_180033288702258&utm_source=vitalmx.com&utm_medium=referral#!/home.php?sk=group_180033288702258&ap=1

The group is Motorcycle Enthusiast Unite.

Come join us! Feel free to post your pictures and please keep it clean and respectful. We are proving a point in a clean and classy form.

how did they bash our sport? do u hv a Mark Zukerberg page for every media outlet, and journalist, that bashes our sport, or did u just started?

I think the bashing of our sport and athletes actually happens on a daily basis on this forum. Lots of FB pages ahead... ;-)

The daily news had an article calling us a bunch of biker trash, I think the group is justified.

I feel like I got to the track late and went out in the 125 C practice.

Big surprise. It's actually very cool to trash motocross racing and their un earth friendly activities.Who doesn't put them down? They (all dirtbikes)need to be confiscated by greenpeace and replaced with Toyota Prius's.

lol.... The Daily News is a big paper guys. Nice try though.

Honestly, I think this "joining together" thing isn't so bad. Why shouldn't people with similar belief unite and set a good example? I swear, people these days are so quick to discredit EVERYTHING. "Nothing will come of it" "That'll never work" "No one cares". Well shit with that attitude all the enviro-nazis will have our bikes turned into scrap metal in no time! And trust me that article is same shit you read/hear from people trying to close down all the OHV land and all the tracks.

The entire OHV world needs to start banding together more. Join every "group" you can (within reason). Sure as hell doesn't hurt to join this one... if you have a facebook it takes ONE CLICK (literally) and it isn't costing you a dime.

It probably won't make shit of a difference, but slim chance is always better than no chance...

Wow, what an idiot. Just took the time to read the article and supposed retraction, which was actually worse than the original story. Man, this guy is everything that is wrong with "journalism" today, if you can even call it that. Say whatever you want, offend thousands, possibly millions of people, and then dont even apologize just say that you were misunderstood.. Many believe that they can get away with murder as long as they are "sorry" or "misunderstood" maybe afterward.. It is a big problem in general with people today

Great idea.................couldn't hurt................if Mr. Dingman and the AMA were on top of it there would be no need......I thought that's what they did. 1%er's, that's what we are to the masses, even if no one here knows what a knuckelhead is. We're all a bunch of bikers.Laughing

In his defense, he was talking about the field being used for anything other than baseball. What he fails to realize is, A) its the dodgers so who cares, Cool its baseball so who cares even more, C) its the first time an actual sporting event has taken place in Dodger stadium with real athletes, he should be proud.

Seriously, who gives a crap about what this guy says, baseball players already have an ingrained hatred towards other sports from years of ridicule and denial about the siliness of their so called sport.

To create a group and join we have a voice. People who responded on the Daily News site -some, not all let their emotions speak in ways maybe they shouldnt have. But hey, when you love your sport you defend it and everyone has said things in a rude and ruthless manner at one time in their life. So we created a page to post pictures of our FAMILY ORIENTED sport, share our personal stories, and we can discuss issues our sport is facing like the law they are trying to pass that would prevent kids from riding.

The page is just another place to join other riders, racers, and industry folks who believe we were slandered.

I live in SoCal, come from D37. Its not just for D37 but for people all over to defend our sport. Articles like this can hurt us. That article was not just sent to Daily News. Other media groups got a hold of it.

Lets day a club or organization wants to put on a race at a fairground or a new facility. What if by chance that particular place read the article. What if they are leary to allow a race in fear that their facility will become a truck stop outside of blyth? Is that o.k.? No!

Not everyone has to agree, all I wanted to do was invite fellow enthusiast to join us in a clean, respectable manner to unite and show what we are really about and not let this become a fight between baseball, Bret Michaels fans (he too rides and loves dirtbike sports) and Motorcycle people

Social Networking gives us a voice. So why not get together and prove the media wrong. We surely are not the first group to do so and in the future we wont be the last.

Not to nitpick, but did you notice you spelled "motorcycle" wrong in your group name?

Hi chelle, Invite him to go riding. Introduce him to some families. Find him some gear and let him put around a track on someone's bike. He will be converted as we all were, immediately.

This may sound dumb. Where do you find spell check? I know some that need it but don't know how to get it.

In a world filled with injustice couldn't y'all come up with some sort of injustice to rally against? The idea of opposing some journalist who wrote an editorial you disagree with is beyond pathetic. I love everything to do with dirtbikes, but your cause is worthless in comparison to the shit that goes down on our streets EVERY DAY.

SX is just a sport, and only a family sport if you have kids. Lets keep this in perspective folks.
