Can this state just get a normal person in office who doesn’t fuck over the working class? Doesn’t push large companies out with their fucking taxes?

My friend, as an observer a few thousand miles away, I would submit that there is no chance of that. 😢

I left California for the PNW in 98. Aside from the rain most of the year, this place was pretty awesome. Both Oregon and, Washington. I’m not joking when I say, Seattle is a shithole. I work a lot downtown. I’ve had people shooting up next to my work van. Bums fucking on the sidewalk next to the job site. Derelicts literally shitting on storefronts mid day. Right in front of everyone.

I just paid $640 for my vehicle registration. $502 of that was for a RTA EXCISE TAX. Basically, a tax to pay for a light rail I don’t use and, public transportation which I also don’t use.

What was once a great place to to live 20 years ago, has become over inflated and, over taxed so bad, I do not plan on retiring here. Houses are about 25% cheaper than Southern California but, everything else is the same if, not more.

Seattle has turned into a great place to drop napalm.

Katie Wilson is indicative of the so-called progressive movement’s race towards actual communism…yes…

Communism.

Another Prime Example: the total pro-terrorist communist idiot they elected in New York. Damn.

Let’s just take them at their word and judge them by their actions.

These Marxist-Leninist wannabes are pursuing the doctrine that takes from the producers to give to their followers. Just watch as they’re justifying murdering executives and political leaders, taking property for “the good of the collective” & literally chasing industry out of their cities…and states.

You don’t have to make this shit up. You just have to watch them do it. Stalin would be proud of them.

Same is happening just north of you in BC, and Vancouver island. In fact it’s complete from San Diego, up to Alaska. Complete west coastline.

Start with the people voting them into office pulling their heads out of their asses. Next, end mail in voting and early voting.

It's kinda mind boggling to watch. They've made an enormous mess of their respective city/state. Then try to clean it up, by pushing the same shit even harder.

I've wondered why states and cities act like this. It's frustrating because they push everyone out and they end up here in TN. I wonder if it is similar to how some claim, they brought illegals in certain states to get them to vote and turn the state from right to left. Are they making certain places crappy enough, so people move to another state and get it to turn? People won't change their views on things just because they left one state and went somewhere else. We know the ones doing the pushing arent going to change their viewpoint either

Either way, TN is a crappy place to live and no need to even entertain coming here...same for Georgia, Florida, NC, Alabama....well you can go to Alabama if you want now that I think about it

Ending mail in and early voting won't change a thing.

What the far right is failing to account for is there are a lot of us who will vote in their favor that won't if they have to go to the polls and deal with the idiots that can't figure it out and take f'n forever.

Give me my mail in ballot. Can fill it out in seconds, drop it off in the PO box weeks in advance, and then not turn on my TV for a while to avoid the poop slinging monkeys not saying what they will do for "me" but only talk about how "bad" their opponent is.

I don't vote a straight party line. I like to inform myself about each candidate and ballot initiative as best I can, for each race in my district. I'm not waiting in line behind morons that either a.) Have to spend an extra 20min each reading the voter info pamphlet ONCE they get in the voting booth or b.) Just get halfway confused after the do their important vote (prez, sen, rep) and then just say f it and vote D (or R) straight down the list not caring.

To many incredible men and women have given their lives for me to NOT do my civic duty and vote, but the older I get the more I don't want to spend any time around the idiots of which there are more and more every day. Force many of us to spend 5 hours or more doing the voting process and the right is going to be even more upset with the results.

If there isn't ID required, requiring in person voting WILL backfire even more.

I agree, TN is terrible. I would leave if I could. Anyone leaving California, New York or Seattle I would highly suggest Ohio or Michigan or Illinois. Anywhere but the southeast. Nothing but humidity and mosquitos here. It’s awful. You can hardly find a place with a good açaí bowl either, mostly biscuits and gravy and fried stuff. Yuck. Definitely do not move here.

Humidity is the tradeoff for wildfires though.

Yeah it’s the worst.  Between the two places my family is from Georgia and Tennessee…I say run for the hills. Complete crap down in this neck of the woods.

Someone mentioned we have in and out burgers earlier. In and out and also whataburger are garbage. I was excited to try both as everyone talks them up and they were let downs.

It is easy to see how this happens, just look at the Lib/Dem posters in here, and you will have your answer.

Mail-in ballots have next to zero integrity......that's why the Libs like them, easy to bring in more in the middle of the night.

And mail-in ballots still have almost no integrity.......but you knew that.

It's only over rated if you are comparing them to places that serve really good burgers. In n out is popular because of the price. By far, the best burger and fries for the money. A double double with onions and fries is still under 10 bucks.  I just went to a burger joint that I really used to like. $14 for the same thing and it just wasn't as good as In n out.

I used to like Five Guys. Haven’t been to one in over 5 years now just because the prices were absolutely obscene.

I don’t agree. Flying down to Anaheim couple years ago from Alberta Canada. Stopped at in/out for quick burger. Was impressed. Good burger, clean shop, excellent menu. Ordered my burger, fries, shake. Was satisfied customer. Wish we had in Canada, however we already have too many burger joints. Definitely recommend in/out. 👍👍

Yeah, I thought their burgers had zero flavor and nothing stood out about that place to me when I ate there.🤔

Can confirm. If it wasn't for the property taxes, I'd have hopped over the river to southern Illinois a long time ago.

Your point is valid amongst “Fast Food” chains.

As others have said, Fatburger, Five Guys and others…including McDonald’s…have lost their fucking minds when it comes to thier pricing.

It’s almost 20+ to any fast food joint, and that’s solo.  One thing that’s a plus for me though is….. I don’t eat so much anymore .😂
