Heard a radio commercial today where someone was selling sreaks perfect for barbequing.
WTF? The perfect steak for BBQ'ing must suck for everything else.
Beerbeque'd a shitload of them ... not sure if Barb knows what she's doin.
I’ve BBQ steak before….meh . Mostly broil for me, cast-iron skillet in butter is best though.
Grill them, sure. Not sure why you would want to barbecue it though
Just different terminology in different areas.

No, it's completely different.
You BBQ a shit cut, like a brisket, you grill a steak.
Just because people say it wrong doesn't make it OK. No one has ever BBQ'd a hamburger, but they say they do.
This isn't semantics.
Well, now I’m lost. WTF is a BBQ?
Really slow cooking, lower temperature, generally with smoke.
A steak gets grilled at 450 to 500. Minutes
Brisket, 275-300, hours.
To me BBQ means on the grill. I would put a brisket in a smoker which you are calling BBQ. 😂
Have you tried calling 9-1-1 to report this heinous crime?
Sorry, but barbecue and grilling are pretty much interchangeable in a lot of places. In just 2 years in Texas I definitely stopped using them as synonyms, but it’s not a big deal overall when someone says barbecue when they should probably say grill.
Naw, it's cool.
I just prefer to be right.
Do you broil cakes too?
April through November....
( cant forget about them as your throwing a few back )...
Been there lol
Then, wouldn’t it be called, “smoking” ?
I have a smoker for smoking fish and, a grill I BBQ hamburgers on.
So, which one is the grill, BBQ or, smoker?

Same…..
I'm guilty of using the wrong terminology. I do try to say grill now but life long habits a difficult to break.

My wife is from New Mexico. She says grill.
I say, BBQ. It must be a regional thing.
It is called smoking . BBQ is on the grill . Maybe it's a Texas thing .
Edit : Upon further review BBQ is smoking . ... I'll continue to just say grilling and smoking and going to "Barbeques"
I’m not positive but I think real Texas BBQ does not sauce till after cooking. I’ve went to a Texas BBQ place next town over and everything you get off the menu is unsauced smoked meat and at the tables they have several different sauces that you can put on the meat.

Your wife's right, get used to saying grill, you'll get a handle on it 🤣
This is the correct answer. Because we use the terms interchangeable and people don't question it, it's still wrong. Kind of like if someone says "are you going to watch the motor cross race?" We probably just say yes.
Throw another shrimp on the grill doesn’t have the same ring to it
I concur
Here it is fellas…..
It’s called a BBQ Grill for a reason 😂
Those are appliances/utensils, not techniques.
BBQ is a cooking technique.
One on left is a grill, right is a smoker. But that's irrelevant.
I call, “bullshit”…. 😂
Left is the BBQ.
Yeah, and the reason was because marketing was clueless.
Well, I take bigger shits than you.
Is that you Curly?

Hahahaha!
