This one’s for the Brits. Does anyone remember the lads that were robbing post offices during the week to fund their racing?

It’s a shame - I did my racing in the late ‘70’s thru mid ‘90’s in the UK. Such great times, just salt of the earth ( for the most part ) people out for a day of honest to goodness fun . I don’t live in the UK anymore but all my buddies back there tell me MX has turned to shite and is just rammed full of  chavs, wideboys  & pikeys.  Very sad how the sports gone over there.

I had to Google chav, wide boy, and pikey.  I used to ride moto once in a while with a road racer named Chaz Davies.  One of our friends called him Chav instead of Chaz.  I never knew why until just now.

Yes I was one of them and we did not need the money to fund motocross we just wanted extra adrenaline when not racing and we was young stupid and crazy maybe you could say to many 2 stroke fumes led us astray. I rode for emberson Yamaha so yes I did have 50k sponsorship the race truck was most likely more alone . We are all alive and still around the motocross scene .
