Shout Out to Raptor Titanium

I’ve got a huge thank you to publicly give to Raptor Titanium!

Earlier this year, I lost my stepfather. He had been married to my mother since I was four years old, so I considered him my dad. He was a huge motocross fan who grew up in South Los Angeles and was part of the moto scene from pretty much the very beginning. He even owned Bay Area Cycle Centre, a KTM and Bultaco dealership, in the 1970s and ’80s.

About 25 years ago, our neighbor started calling him PapaMoto — long before any grandkids arrived. The nickname stuck, and he became well known as PapaMoto to friends and family. By the time the grandkids came along, PapaMoto was simply his name.

I recently purchased a lightly used 2025 KTM 450 SXF FE with only 3.5 hours on it (that’s another story). While buying parts to set up the new bike, Raptor footpegs were on the list. During checkout, I noticed they offer custom engraving if wanted. The engraving I wanted was one character too many for the online form, so I purchased the pegs and left a note asking if it would be possible to add one extra character. Within 12 hours, I received an email saying the pegs had shipped — along with a picture of the requested engraving!

In a world of throwaway parts and miserable customer service, Raptor Titanium came through with excellence. The final product brought a tear to my eye and created a perfect tribute to my late father that our entire family loves.

THANK YOU, RAPTOR TITANIUM!

I will forever be a faithful customer

Never dealt with them directly, but I bought a pair of their pegs second hand from someone on here 6-7 years ago and they have held up great. They’re a little pricey, but they make some of the most top of the line products IMO.

Sorry to hear about your loss, hope you and your family is doing okay.

RIP to Papamoto. It sounds like he was a good man.

On a tangent, I like how you matched your doghouse to your garage. 😁

Awesome company to work with. Being tall I was advised to get some offset footpegs from them. Contacted them on what ones i should get for my kx450. They were more than helpful and the pegs are awesome.

I’m 6’4” and have always run stock seat height and foot pegs. I had both knees replaced this year. While my knees should be bending better than they have in 15 years, I thought it was worth trying to open up the cockpit a bit. Glad the offset Raptor pegs worked well for you.

That’s very cool, I think it’s easy to forget sometimes how much just a small gesture like this can mean to someone else.

How do you like the offset pegs? I'm 6'3" and have always ran stock pegs. I honestly used to kind of hate on tall seats, and then I FINALLY tried one last year and felt so much better on the bike. So now I forever run a tall seat lol.

I cannot comment yet. I’m 6 weeks post total knee replacement surgery (2nd knee this year). This new bike is currently eye candy for me to sit and stare at, and give that little extra motivation during PT.

Many years ago, until 2002,I worked for Rolls-Royce,aero engines not the cars,as an engineer here in the UK

I met a bloke called Jack around the time I was leaving,he was also leaving to start his own business making titanium foot pegs in a small northern uk town called Barnoldswick, also where RR is.

That company was called Raptor

So pleased to see how they have grown to supplying factory teams around the world
