I don't if this has been brought up yet but isn't he the oldest to win a 450 SX title?

Record was Tomac at 29. Kenny set a new record at 32. What’s wild is Brayton is the oldest race winner at 33, I feel like that record could be broke in the following years

Ten years has to be the longest time between titles, too, right?

I think so and if I’m not mistaken he’s one of 3 riders to win his first title outside his first 3 years competing. Anderson and Mike Bell are the others

Back before Eli won his first SX title, the story was that either of them would have been the oldest to win their first SX title. Roczen obviously just smashed that record too….

That doesn’t sound quite right. Jeff Ward, Jeff Emig, Eli Tomac all come to mind right away.

Febvre last year also won his 2nd MXGP title after 10 years.

First supercross title or 450 title? Tomac went from 2014-2020 before he won his first supercross title, but only 3 years before his first 450 title. Ken won a 450 title his rookie year.

I used to think John Dowd was a grandpa when I was a kid and he was winning on his Yamahas in the ‘’97-‘99 years and he was like 32 years old back then lol crazy that Kenny is the same age and I definitely don’t see him as a grandpa 😂😂😂

Just Supercross? Wouldn't Tomac be included in that too?

John Dowd is built different. Dude podiumed Southwick at 44 years old. That still blows my mind.

Kenny has to be the most deserving champion. I remember the MEC. His first race on that Honda. I thought he is just going to dominate for a long time. Injuries are just brutal.

The oldest overall SX champion was John Dowd in 1998, west coast 125 champ at 33 years old.

Do they even count regional titles in the oldest winner category?

Serious, why wouldn't they? They still run East/West 125/now 250 class today..
