For sale is my 2008 CRF450R that is titled in my name.

This bike had never touched dirt when I bought it January 2025, and I’ve put just 3 hours on it since then. I realized it wasn’t the bike for me and I wanted to keep it as low hour as possible. I have to believe this is the cleanest, lowest hour ‘08 in the country.

I completely rebuilt the carb, new tires, new grips, air filter. Otherwise it is 100% stock.

$5,500 OBO. Located in Ohio.

Super clean bike!

I suggest you take some more pics and put it up on eBay.  You might get more interest and a higher price for such a clean example of what some consider to be the best Honda 450 ever made!

Damn, the clutch cover looks like it’s from a different bike.

Amazing bikes (still have one) - literally do it all, as at home on mx track as mountain singletrack as desert racing.

Fair price, GLWS!

I know… I wore my Gaerne’s when I rode it and wish I hadn’t because of the metal toe cap. But like Meister said they scuff so easily.

When I bought the bike it didn’t have a single scuff on the clutch cover. It blew my mind that I found one that basically was showroom quality! Here’s a pic of the day I bought it. IMG 5940 4

Excellent bike and the right buyer will buy.

In 2023 I found one myself, albeit with 40~ish original hours and from the original owner. Paid it $1900usd which was a joke for how clean and un-abused it was

This is one of those bikes I wish I had never sold.

Great looking bike and what a steal! How did the carb end up working for your climate? I just feel like it has such a narrow window before it needs a needle or clip change, which is annoying with the need to remove the tank.

That's too bad you needed to tend to it to be in the sweet spot, I had tinkered with it once and it worked great for me all of that summer.

I actually ended up buying another one recently, nowhere near as new but it's the cool black Limited Edition 2008. Gonna be one of my next restoration projects

I race harescrambles in Ohio and even if perfectly jetted it’s prone to flame out, and isn’t nimble for the woods. And just had a kid and I’m not touching moto tracks like I used to!

Totally get that. For off-road these weren’t the move without I’d say a rekluse and slightly raised idle.

For moto, they are still friggin weapons.

Makes sense!

Bought it on a whim at the suggestion of a moto buddy who has an ‘07. Lesson learned😂

I have a 2008 Honda CRF450R with a Rekluse RadiusCX installed. Never flames out, I use it for mountain singletrack and moto. Amazing and versatile bike, even against our newer Yamahas and KTMs.

Without the Rekluse - flamed out at Lake Havasu WORCS race, couldn't get it restarted for quite a while because I'd gotten the bike sooooooo hot in the deep sand. So you gotta know what you're getting into, for sure. 2008 was less prone to this than 2007, though, largely because the 2008 CRF450R had gear-specific ignition curves, which helped reduce this significantly.

In my personal opinion, the 07-08 CRF450R motors are some of the best ever. Chuggy is my style - these deliver - and the chassis balance for good steering, excellent stability, easy to wheelie on command in the whoops, etc., just an amazing package overall.
