Both deserve this title but I hope Ken wins it because he's nearing the end of his career. Hunter has more time in his career to achieve this title.

I’ve removed Roczen from my fantasy picks and asked the moto gods to give him one more magical day. That’s all I can do. I really want him to win.

Will 100% be happy for Hunter if it goes the other way.

Maybe someone said this, but I didn’t read all 4 pages: if I’m Hunter and in front, I’m definitely doing some brake checks. Wouldn’t be anything dirty, just trying to get ken to stall the bike and have to try and kick it to life.

Not gonna happen, not in their character to race backwards. Defend, ride on inside like lines, yes.
Rick Johnson threw hands with Ron Lechien after Ron repeatedly brake checked him in a nothing Golden State National in 1986. Hunter and Kenny are not those guys.

I think Hunter has a bit higher probability to win this but i have a feeling that it is going to be Ken Roczen. If he gets to the lead early in the main i belive he will be fucking gone. Im so excited !

It will come down to one mistake that will seal it.

Feels like Hunter’s to lose. More needs to go right for Ken to win.

I personally think Hunter has been spazzy when he’s made a mistake it has turned into rushing things and making 1 mistake into multiple a couple times this year. He’s looked frantic and in the edge of tossing it away many times.

If he doesn’t nail the start, I think Kenny wins.

But if Hunter starts up front, it really is anyone’s guess.

I think Kenny’s passing skills are better and his riding has been very in control.

Hunters starts have been amazing and his riding has been on the edge several times.

Rooting for Kenny, but it’s going to be close that’s for sure!

Damn basically went exactly as I said. One mistake to four.

It really just comes down to the start. Hoping a 1-2 start with Hunter in the lead and Roczen in tow. Roczen attacks immediately and puts Hunter behind him for the rest of the race. Kinda boring? Yes, but I just want to see Kenny do it and have it be straight up.

Fuck yeah.

We could just do a poll, but I love bench racing too much. Tell me which guy will win the title Saturday evening in Salt Lake City and why you think they'll take it over the other guy?

Straight up head to head if Kenny's on I think he'll take it. I think Kenny hates losing more than Hunter, has a worse temper and willingness to go fight or flight mode. He's older and I think his under pressure auto pilot is more experienced than Hunters. Like if Hunter has a couple bobbles it'll get in his head, where Kenny will shake it off and charge harder.  Although.... 😄 Starts are going to be a big part of it, and if they have to go through traffic who's between them ? I'm rooting for Kenny, and will be happy for either one, but I'll be happy-er if it's Kenny  ✊

So, Hunter just rode tight. His nerves got to him, similar to Sexton riding tight when dealing with Webb last year, with the championship on the line. Webb had a little more experience and had learned to manage his nerves in the pressure situations. Hunter will learn it too and he will be a champion. Ken was a little more experienced in this situation and he got a little lucky.

Hindsight’s 20/20 right? Before the race, I thought Hunter was gonna beat him.

His nerves got to him only after Prado got to him....I saw Prado coming and knew things were going to get very interesting due to their history.  Prado forced the mistake by reeling him in, which is not something he's used to this year.  Hunter went from comfortably pacing Ken to "who the f'ck is coming, oh shit it's Prado".

Prado probably was a “factor” but Hunter had no trouble in Denver.

For the most part, Hunter does seem to be slightly quicker on the hard pack. BUT, in quailifying session 2 last week in Denver, Kenny did put a heater & go to the top of the board. Only .200 or .300 somewhere in there, but I’d say he can push on hard pack if he NEEDS to, and this weekend… he’ll need to, Hunter will probably start ahead of Ken, if he does, Kenny 100% running him down making a pass happen… just hope he can put in some serious sprint laps & make Hunter push that little extra where the Honda doesn’t work so well for Hunter(right now) and make little mistakes that’ll cost Hunter to not catch up… like miss a rythem section, lose time in the whoops etc. or maybe even allow another rider in between them.

Damn I was pretty accurate.. just sayin. What the hell ha..
