I just have a nitrogen tank under the bench with a cheap regulator and fill setup from eBay. Nothing fancy or extravagant.
All you need is the bottle, a regulator and a "no loss" adapter. You can use the small 10L bottles too and they'll fit under your bench.
I love having mine, you'd be amazed how fast a shock will lose nitrogen, especially riding in the cold.
Anyone have air compressors outside and plumbed through the wall? Can’t wait to do that when I buy my house.
I was pretty happy with how my garage turned out...... then I asked AI to give me an idea based upon the picture I provided it and now it makes me want to update it already.

I have nitrogen for shocks and for HVAC... You can bring your shocks by and fill them.

A low relatively cost nitrogen setup:
You can get a bottle at AirGas or Central Welding in Tacoma or Bremerton and they have regulators at both places too.
I use brass 1/4 flare fittings (Ace or any hardware store) since they're a standard in HVAC industry...
Grab a 1/4 fill hose for HVAC with 1/4 flare fittings on the ends. (Grainger, McMaster, Amazon, maybe NAPA or others)
I have a 1/4 turn ball valve elbow on the end of my fill hose, but it's not required.
For the YZs You can get a regular schrader chuck from any hardware store. (Mine came from McMaster-Carr)
For the KX style shocks, you can get the Race-Tech needle adapter (it has a schrader valve with replaceable needle).
Fill up the shock 10psi higher than you need with the schrader chuck on the nitrogen hose.
Then use a WP fork pump (lossless schrader chuck) to bleed off a little pressure to your exact set-point.
Alternatively, you can get a lossless schrader chuck from RaceTech or many other suspension places who sell them.

The small bottles will charge hundreds of shocks before you need a refill.
Yep, I have a large industrial compressor outside and both sides of my shop, (paint and powder coating on one side and motorcycle stuff on the other) are plumber with Plex line. been like that for about 10 years now and never had a failure.
After reading this I started to put mine in AI also then figured why torture myself. 🤣
I’ve been giving my clusterfuck a makeover. Bought a plastic shed for all my work related crap and cleared out an area to work on bikes again. Before and afters
Ha ha ha.....so true. Very wise on your part.
Finally finished the Moto Photo lounge. Lemme know what ya think!

Mine is coming along. Started this last summer and me and my Wife and a couple buddies did all of it. Just about at the point where its cleaned up enough to take the bikes up there. I'm starting to move in!

up here the condensation coming through was too much of an issue. It would rot the tank out. I tried for a few months, but moved it back in because there was so much water you could blow your hand with the gun and it would get wet. And yes I have a dryer/ separator on the line, it completely overwhelmed it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you just have the compressor outside the garage and just covered with a lean to? Or was it something more framed and sealed in?
Our shop at my work has one mounted outside, it’s fully framed and sealed. No AC or anything like that though. I doubt anyone has even taken 10 seconds to drain it in its life. I’ll have to do that Monday and see what the water looks like.
It was in a framed off area under a lean-too on the side of the building. It had big vents on the side for airflow. Was looking for a picture of it but cant find anything. I think one needs to build it off the side of the shop and insulate it and vent it into the shop so its all part of the same conditioned space. Im in a new shop now (the one above) and I will try again at some point here as described. I do understand the allure of no noise and the added space!
Awesome shop you have going on. That’s what dreams are made of.
Thanks man. I appreciate it. Trying not to pull too many punches on this one. I wanna be content in this one till I die. Lol.
