Or they’ll be buried on the start behind everyone else who is on it. Which is why I think it should only be allowed at certain races approved by AMA. Guys are having to choose between a safer tire for 99% or a sketchy tire that will help with the very first 1% of the race. Most of them know that they have to make the sketchy choice if they want a chance at the front.

It should be treated as a special conditions tire and only available when AMA deems it necessary.

I’m thinking we should keep the AMA out of decision making as much as possible..

Where is the evidence that the scoop is less safe?

Should we also get AMA to only approve “safe” suspension settings?

the "hip" thing is so ridiculous - the guy obliterated his shoulder, you can see when he walks to the mule he aint moving that right arm AT ALL. Plus there are clear pics of him (pretty sure @ML512 took them) where you can see a sequence of him murdering the top of that whoop with his shoulder, his hip barely touches and its twisted vs his shoulder which takes a square impact. He will need surgery IMO

I am so freaking bummed about this. Eli had a legit chance to win this championship and threw it away yet again. As someone else previously mentioned, to have the second most wins in SX history and only have 2 titles says a lot. Being a Tomac fan can be so frustrating.

murdering? obliterated? lol. have you had any personal experience with shoulder injuries? Eli already had both shoulders heavily damaged - and repaired and rehabbed back into top racing form many years ago already. Right now there is a wide range of possibilities from minor to major injury that have yet to be determined. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but no reason to jump to conclusions he needs surgery without evidence and I'm sure he is getting the best care possible, so why not let it ride until more is known?

He's such an incredible rider when he's on. 2015 Hangtown Tomac might be the fastest I've ever seen someone go on a dirt bike. But watching how he goes completely missing in some races is so odd and makes me appreciate a guy that gets crapped on a lot for not being checkers or wreckers (Ryan Dungey). Eli's race management throughout an entire season isn't so great.

Can I just send you a vid of my next crash so I don't need to go to the hospital?

Can’t remember ever seeing ET go down in the whoops.

who thinks we might have seen his last race? His injury might be worse than feared, no prep for nationals, a returning Jett...does he just hang 'em up? Such a bummer how weird his season has gone. you KNOW he really wanted this year's championship because he KNOWS future ones are gonna be tough w/ Jett on the line.
