I'm not by any means calling anyone a cheater but it is just puzzling to me that there wasn't a simple answer to the question.
And if he is like many top riders he might have no idea what the device does.

If I was an owner I would be exploring every avenue to ensure my riders get the best reults possible.
If the other teams thought Brooks was cheating you can Bet they would have protested.
Why didn't anyone ask Regal about the device on his bike? Maybe @ 10th place it wasn't an issue?
From what I know Brooks is pretty Hard Core Moto and Lives it, not to mention he can still ride.

Who would have thought Sachs was so far ahead of their time?. If only they would have spent their time on building a tranny with less than 7 neutrals.
When I read people way off track on a subject about something that has to do with me, my riders or the team, I try to explain what's going on. I would want to hear it straight from the horses mouth, but I can see it's difficult for some of you to either understand what I'm saying or you wouldn't care if the Pope said it, you'd still say it's not true.
I think it would be great for other team's to gather information the way we do, but it takes a lot of effort and money and others might not have the same level of passion. Just know it available to others, if they know how to use the information to help them.
And a couple quick notes;
* Riders do not always know what's on their bikes. They have enough to worry just doing their job. Why would a race team want to load up their riders with more to think about other than racing and doing their best? Every member of a team has their own job and riders job is just to rider their motorcycle.
* If TV/Erin (both are controlled by FELD) are going to ask James a question like "We saw what you had of your bikes rear wheel and how did that help with Traction Control"? Well then their saying we were cheating, because traction control is illegal.
* Both of our race bikes went through AMA tech inspection and everything on the motorcycle was explained to them. It wasn't hidden, it was very much out in the open for all to see and the AMA passed both bikes at round 1 and round 2. FYI: AMA is more than experienced with these type of parts because of their involvement with Road Racing.
So you can drop the whole conversation about this and just enjoy a great year of racing that were having. Your in store for a fun year and to mud it up, takes away from all the fun.
A lack of information is always dangerous as you can see.
