No worries 👍🏻

The crosstube on the swing is original.

Maybe you can measure the stroke from the sparkplug hole? Then the bore could be calculated. 585 is only 10cc less than stock 600, so it must be a different bore/stroke configuration for it to be any reason.

By the drainplug at the side of your right enginecase you have a cast number, I can’t read it from your picture. But if it’s 220004 your engine is 1989-1993 with the first generation gearbox. If it’s 220040 it’s 1994-1996 cases.

Thank you for that information I really appreciate it. It’s really cold here still in Ontario but I do want to clean it up and look inside once warmer out I’ll take and I’ll take better pics of cast numbers

I’m a diesel technician and build engines at work so I’ll bring home my cylinder bore gauge when i get the head pulled off and let you know . Should I noticed different things in engine? Like did the team run a billet clutch basket instead of cast if I look at that ?

Got the bike all back together from it being torn apart from shipping . Going collect parts for it then tear it down and restore it once I find everything which I know will take long time

No, they all got steel clutchbasket.

You could just measure the stroke down the sparkplughole, if it’s 585 the bore can then just be calculated.

I found out more information on engine today well 2 piece clutch covers was told by old school guy that it was made by Folan and not the Italians and the tank was made by Rodger Heap in the 90s a uk hop up husaberg guy . Soon as I crack the engine open I’ll let you know I really appreciate your help

Would that make sense that Folan made it ?

Could be, I haven’t seen your type before. Folan made designs and parts with and for Husaberg for many years.IMG 3081 2

The only two piece clutchcover I’ve seen is this, and it is Italian although not Vertemati.

Hey, that lower, Ignition  cover, is reminiscent of the sort of thing a few of us ( and a few companies)  did, to try to keep the bloody SEM ignitions cool. I put 'in' and 'out' spigots onto covers, to get cooling air in, for a fair few 'Bergs ( I worked at a Husaberg dealership ), and, well, other Euro bikes that had the SEM ignitions.

If I recall correctly, Joel had recurring problems in his last (?) Husaberg year with Ignitions, that cost him a potential extra WC.

Bastards of things, SEM ignitions. Between just 'fritzing', and / or having the magnets come off the alloy flywheel - that happened on my 320 Maico - they were a source of grief for many.

1l 10/40 car motoroil, thicker if it’s hot.

Kick it a few times before you drain.

I run Motul 15w-60 on my FS650. It starts to burn lighter oil when the engine gets hot

I got it going today first time I ever started a left hand kick bike and I kicked back on my once and dam did that hurt . She sounds like a monster . I noticed when doing the oil it had a customs billet drain plug with magnet on end with hole drilled in it and also noticed the shrouds the holding washers look custom billet or is that stock?
