Diesel almost $7.00 up in my area yesterday.

4/4/2026 8:03am

People dont realize what kind of effect the price of diesel has on alot of stuff. This government likes to piss away money on so much trash ,there should be some sort of cap on diesel for commercial use and the government has to pick up the tab on anything over that.

To think, diesel was once cheaper than regular unleaded.

The taxes on Diesel aren’t helping, either.

Anyone else notice gas stations don’t have prices on their signs anymore?

Several are doing that here in my area so you don’t know the price until you pull up to the pump.

Why are prices going up over there? Trump said you didn't need the oil from the Strait this week...

Because it’s a money grab.

What you described is socialism.

Maybe it would give the government some inspiration to do what it takes to stay under what ever that dollar per gallon figure is.

Going to have to make the call to get our diesel & fuel oil tanks filled this week. I thought it hurt when I did that in February. Ugghh.

What in the hell are you talking about ??

Only 2% of our oil comes from the Persian gulf.

Canadian, and American crude is what's referred to as, sweet crude.

Everything from middle eastern nations is a dark crude, high in sulphur, and more difficult to refine.

So our recent rise in prices is due to speculation. And panic.

Where's the lie ??

Spent a 5day weekend traveling around in a V8 4x4 SUV, gas prices be damned.

No lie there either.

But hey, you just keep on trolling.

Just saw where there's a few that have been put in time out for a while.

Somebody needs to take up their slack.

Even someone like you, who's not very good at it.

Carry on.

Edit:

Your calling me a liar sounds rather familiar. 🤣😂🤣

The problem with the domestic production argument (of which most is light, sweet crude or even condensates) is that roughly 70% of US refining capacity is configured for sour, heavy crude. The two are not interchangeable. This could potentially benefit Canadian oil sand production, as that's heavy, sour crude

No it wouldn't give them any incentive. The government spends like a drunken sailor at a whorehouse. Remember, they're not spending their own money. Why should they care?

That’s just one stick. The last building I did had close to 400’ of 2” copper. Add in the other various sizes plus fittings… Things increase very quickly. That is exactly why I watch gas prices. It’s a perfect indicator of what’s to come.

Check your DM's. IDK if the info I sent would be helpful, but you never know I suppose.

Got it. Thank you. The mail box is still not indicating I have mail. Happy Easter man.

Right? Gas prices going up 50 to 75 cents is kind of like what just happens when they switch to summer blend.

For those of you who don't live in California and don't get the "summer blend" reference, that's when the state requires refiners to add chemicals to reduce gasoline volatility and improve air quality. Think of it as "Extra-" Magic Gas, instead of the regular old Magic Gas that we already pay $1.50 more for than you do.
I sure am glad that the Magic Gas never runs out, allows my car to fly, and cures Cancer. Oh, wait, it doesn't do any of those things....

The summer bled is national wide not just Cal.

Our gas went up another 50 cents Thursday night so seeing it ranging from $3.60 - $3.80 and one already $3.99

Other states may have their own specific blends.

EDIT: Adding that I was mistaken about the summer blend being the CA-only expense. Our additional CA penalty derives from the CaRFG chemicals.

Falcon's only mistake was a doozy for a Falcon. Who could have just said we have a "CA specific" summer blend. LOL

Fuel prices certainly didn't hurt the numbers at the local OHV area.

Campsites and cabins sold out.

Parking lot was full of built rigs, and their 5th wheel haulers.

Got there predawn, got my favorite trails in, and got out of there before waiting lines at the technical spots. Friday night rains made for hero dirt conditions.

This money to ‘cover the tab’ where do you think that comes from?
