Deshazor Everette - 250 C - Former Defensive Captain for the Washington Redskins.
Ezra Lusk - Over 50
Andrew Short - Just Moto Dad this year.
Ezra who just turned 50 won both motos relatively easy over former LL Camp and former pro Tim Hodes.
Ezra's son Hudson raced the B class and is fast too as expected. How fast? Him and his Dad raced back to back motos. I put a stop watch on both of their 2nd laps. Ezra = 2:01. Hudson = 1:58.
Deshazor Evvertt killed his girlfriend with reckless driving. Now we know why Ezra quit the AMA. Lol
BTW, Ezra said he quit to spend more time riding with his son.
Used to race with Tim's Dad, Hank, in the EVO Sports series. Hank could get around the track at a pretty good pace.
Also used to race with Ezra's Dad, Ronnie, back in the early 80's in South GA/Tallahassee when Ezra was breaking every bike that Ronnie put under him😂
Where was this?

Guessing 3 Palms MX since it was a Texas qualifer that ran this past weekend.
Ah, I didn't see it listed in the schedule I saw.
3 Palms
Is Ezra' son a future pro?
I got smoked by Ezra's little brother Shane at the World Mini back before his accident. That whole family rails.
Am I the only one who had no idea Shane had an accident that damn near left him a quadriplegic?
I remember Shane from the US open in 1999 (maybe 2000?) racing the 80 exhibition but never heard much after that.
What little I could find about him said that he is able to walk but does have some body movements that never fully came back.
Wow.
Are we gonna call Hudson Lusk Boo Boo or Yogi jr?
Yogi talked about it in decent depth when he was on Whiskey Throttle. The whole episode is well worth a listen. Ezra is a gem.
The real question is...did you qualify Larry?
I did qualify in the Over 50 class for Loretta's in 2018 when I was 55. Now at 64, way too many young guns in there now! Been training for Moto Masters Over 60 class. They have a round coming up at 3 Palms in May. I think I have 4 laps in me. We'll see.
Was at the 3 Palms LLAQ doing Trackside Ministry through Fellowship of Christian Athletes. But I did manage to make my way back to the GP track and get a couple of motos in.
The difference from 55 to your 60's is REAL. I'm 66 and recovery is no joke. The lactic acid fairy leaves a truck load these days.
I should have ridden more in my 40's😂
I thought Ezra lived in Florida. Cool that he’s still riding. This thread needs pics 😎
They were in Texas doing an out of region Area Qualifier as a back up. Lots of riders do that.
Case in point. The LL Womans champ in 2009 Shelby Brittian only qualified for 1 Regional in 2010. Her bike broke and she ended up not qualifying and did not have a back up Regional and was unable to defend her title.
