I recently was able to ride my new Honda CRF250WE. I cannot believe how good of a bike this was. I also own a Honda CRF250R, but am very surprised how different these two bikes feel. The R has had a harsh suspension feeling, where the WE didn't have a hard hit for me at all. Also, I am not sure if it is different mapping or the exhaust, but the WE seems to have more lug ability and pull throughout. Both bikes are stock except for minor things like plastic, tires and grips.Just for a little more context I am a 32 year old Vet A/B rider in Minnesota weighing around 160 pounds.

The RWE has a Hydro clutch as well right?

I would like that part as well. I’m a hydro clutch guy for sure.

Just got one too, and I completely agree.  Suspension and turning are great and the low-end torque is abundant.  I'm about 165 and my other bikes are all two stroke 250s.  (Yes, I've taken a step onto the dark side, but so far, I'm loving it after 40+ years purely on two stroke race bikes).

How hard was it to find a RWE?  I contacted a bunch of dealers in new england but haven't had any luck finding one.  Only one dealer in northern NH said they could special order one with a deposit but it would take several months.

This is one of my favorite bikes to ride at the moment they really did an amazing job with this RWE. I just wish they could make the stock one this good!

I'm in the midwest.  I found a couple of dealers within 100 miles with one in stock.  One dealer seemed indifferent about selling it to me, and the other wanted way over MSRP.  I finally dropped by my go-to dealer and asked if they had one.  They said no 250WEs in stock, so I said could you get one?  The answer was yes, so I put 1K deposit down in November and picked the bike up late January.  I paid MSRP, but got them to drop the $250 admin fee.

Try the "search inventory" tool on the Honda powersports website.  Good luck.  It's a really special bike.

Your review was one of the things that influenced me to buy mine!

That's super helpful, thank you.

I was quoted $11,900 OTD including a $500 deposit.  No sales tax in NH.

The crf250 is the most underrated 250f in my opinion, even the standard model. Yes the standard model needs a suspension revalve but Art of War has done a PHENOMENAL job with our moto suspension and Corey at Protune is killing it on the woods bikes for us. We have a handful of standard 250r's and between me and my oldest son, I have zero complaints about these bikes. A huge plus is dead engine starts, ive never seen an electric start four stroke start so quickly, stock ECU's too. Honda has done a great job on the 25 and 26
