Hey All,
Currently, I wear a Troy Lee SE5 with Oakley Airbrakes and am having the issue of it feels like the eye port of the helmet is always pushing my goggles down and consequently making my goggles pinch my nose. I've tried to remedy this by using nasal strips or the nasal expanders with magnets, but still no luck. I am considering moving to a different helmet. The two models I am looking at are the Bell Moto-10 Spherical or the 6D ATR-3. The easy solution would be to change goggles, but I already have a good collection of airbrakes and can get tear-offs/support locally. Looking to see if anyone has worn these goggles with either of these helmets and have any fitment issues. I love my SE5, its light and the venting is awesome so I would like to keep those features into my next helmet as well.
They fit good with the Moto 10
They fit great with ATR-3.
Nothing is lighter feeling than the SM-10 imo. I wear Airbrakes with mine, fits great.
I sort of had that issue with my SE5 I think it has to do with the Mips system they use with the slick part against the pads.
I wear a large and ended up putting a medium headliner in mine and it made everything a lot more solid.

Other peoples' experience is irrelevant because their head is not shaped like yours. It all comes down to how high or low a helmet sits on your head. Only 1 way to know for sure. I had this same issue with Shoei Helmets.. sat a little too low on my head. I bought their optional +3mm thicker pad and it solved it. Does TL sell optional sizing pads?
I had this exact same issue with my shoei vfx-w. I even asked Keefer about it. I now wear a 6d atr3 and I feel like it's better but not completely gone. I believe it's an airbrake thing and not so much a helmet thing. Best thing I can recommend is a well fitted helmet that isn't moving down on your head while riding.
The SE5 has been a downgrade to the SE4 imo. I loved my SE4 and got a new SE5 and it didnt fit the same. It feels bulky and cheaply made in comparison. I've had the plastic visor screws break and the plastic clasp that holds the strap broke as well. My bf and I also have the same issue with Airbrake goggles getting pushed down. Went to an SM-10 and its been amazing.
I wear a shoei VFX-W and had to abandon my favorite 100% goggles because I literally could not breathe. Haven’t tried another helmet as I’ve always worn Shoei but it’s really irritating.
I’m also bald so the helmet jumps all over the place
Works great with my Fly Formula
Work with my Leatt Moto 9.5 Carbon
I have the same set up and constantly find myself grabbing the front of my helmet off jumps and lifting it up for this reason. I just feel like any time I land off a jump or hit a bump the helmet rotates forward on me. Other than that the helmet and goggles are comfy. Scott prospects have a very wide nose opening on them too but no one ever has tare offs for them though.
I don’t want air brakes when I ride, I want to be fast and get the best aero, so I ride 100% goggles, they give me racecradt 🤣
6D ATR3 BEST HELMET PERIOD. Works amazing with my airbrake goggles. I switched from a bell and the issue you described is gone now.
