In the post race press conference Eli said there should be 15 man gates in SX races that have sub-50 second laptimes. Later, he basically advocated for higher standards to get into mains by stating riders with laptimes 6-7 seconds per lap slower than the lead group shouldn't be on the track and were a 'hazard'.
Also, he said outdoors should only have 30 man gates for the same reasons...

Surely they can sit Vince out as a safety issue. It’s nearly at the point where feld should be accountable if he seriously hurts some one. It’s well known he is a hazard.
