Last year of the big aero, ride height devices and the 1000cc engines. Most MFGs will be on a development freeze as the 850s become the focus. This should let Yamaha's new V4 and Honda's vastly improved bike be more competitive.

Good storylines this year.

Will Yamaha finally be competitive again with the new bike?

Toprak's rookie season

Fabio's last dance with Yamaha?

Pecco and Martin's revenge tour?

Will the Marquez brothers keep dominating? Ales will now be on a factory bike as well.

Will the Aprilia be a better bike than Ducati?

Can KTM solve their vibration and tire wear issues in time to keep Acosta?

I think MM will dominate again, he just wants it more and is willing to push more....

I definitely think Yamaha will take steps this year ,but will be fighting for top 5's and the odd podium. Fabio will finally win a sprint this year.

I think Martin and Bez will be in the podium hunt every week on those Aprilia's.

I think the KTM's will continue to be third or fourth best bike, but Acosta may finally get a win.

Toprak will do great things, but the Yamaha will hold him back from wins.

I think 2026 will be another great season

2027 Silly Season:

Acosta -> Factory Ducati

Fabio Quart. -> Honda

Jorje Martin -> Yamaha (Pramac or factory)

All of these have been heavily speculated by all the major journalists. Supposedly Honda has the best development on the new 850cc bike. Could we see Honda retake it's spot at the top. Also does this force Pecco to Aprilia?

Marc always runs the 93, so I'd assume that remains. But we know Ducati love having a '1' on the bike!

1) MM93

2) Bez

3) Acosta

I think Alex will struggle a bit with last years Ducati.

I really hope KTM can put a good bike out there. Year 3 is generally the breakout year, I hope Acosta can take that step. Really don't want to see DucatiGP again.

I thought MotoGP was enforcing the "Champion rides #1" rule like SX/MX/SMX?

Alex got the nod from Ducati, he's on the 2026 spec, Aldeguer will ride the GP25 when he returns from injury.

Marc does what Marc wants to do I guess. Being a 7 time champ helps

Not just the 26 spec. Full guarantee of at the same time the same factory testing and part to test and use when made available to the factory riders to test and use. Thats pretty huge. Im waiting to see it to believe it but if true hes gonna have a good year again.

Wild card podium shot Diggi I think hes gonna have a great year or moto gps'J.Mart he could be a big surprise if he stays on the Aprillia and get a rhythm under him.

I think Diggi, J.mart, Morbililli, zarcho, orgura, and Acosta are gonna be a tight battle for 4-9 and I would be surprised of eqch one of them lands a podium this year.

Maverick and binder are 2 guys that could be in that too. Maverick held the ktm torch most the year until he got hurt. Binders won dry races hes a 5-10

Cant wait to see how bad this yamaha is. I think getting rid of the inline 4 going into the new 850 era was dumb. I feel like the 850 size and new pirelli tires would fit their bikes well.

What a battle to start the season. I get the penalty on Marc, can’t be running guys off the track, probably the right call especially at the first race of the year, can’t set a precedent of allowing moves that aggressive. I’m sure Marc doesn’t love it, I wouldn’t if I were him.

First Ducati was in sixth place, that's a big change from what we saw just a year ago. I'm sure it won't be like this all year but cool to see some variety and good racing to kick off the season.

Bez was definitely a low key favourite coming in. He looked really strong this weekend.

Aprilia have done some clever developmental work in the off season, creating an aero package that creates downforce with less drag. The rider can cover exit ports on the fairings with their forearms to reduce drag on the straights. Hard to explain but very clever, there are YouTube videos covering it that are worth a watch.

Congrats Aprillia. It's crazy how good the European teams and manufacturers are at this sport now, the riders are pretty good too.

Sucks the track was in such shambles. Sinkhole, then guys getting roosted to hell, brutal. Needs to be addressed before next season for sure

Between this and the Australian GP new management is off to a rough start.

I haven’t been following much. What’s the deal with the Marquez brothers? Do the Ducati’s suck this year?

It seems they took a small step backwards and Aprilia took a huge step forwards.

From what I've heard. The Ducati favors rear steer which over race distance just eats the rear tire. Similar issue to what KTM has dealt with over the past few years.

The Ducati is the "fastest bike". I mean Diggia broke the single lap record this weekend by nearly a second. But they are clearly having race distance issues. Also Marc had an LLP which pretty much ruined his race.

Moto2 was an incredible race, once they cleaned up the 7 bike pileup and managed to restart the race, Moto3 was entertaining as ever. Sucks the GP ended up as a bit of a snoozer, I wanted to see the Aprillia boys go toe to toe.
