When you look at the number of European manufacturers that are producing two strokes (some ONLY produce two strokes) then you know what this gentleman says has more than a little truth to it. Companies like KTM, TM, Derbi, Scorpa, Sherco, Beta, Cagiva, Derbi, Gas Gas, Benelli, Piaggio etc etc etc etc are still making 2 strokes by the millions.

Millions. The small bike and scooter market is huge over there and they are mostly 2 strokes.

I saw this awhile back and loved it. This guy is 100% right. two strokes are here to stay.

Funny, he doesn't exactly sound like your run of the mill message board conspiracy theorist.

Seems more industry icons are speaking out as the bling wears off. Anscari not shy about calling Honda out and telling it like it is. Cedric, DV, the King, Mitch....

Once this marketing bubble bursts, the floodgates will open with many industry proponents finally speaking out once it is PC to do so. There are many on the payroll right now. As expensive overweight bike sales continue to shrink, those biting their lips and finally losing that nipple, will speak more freely.

The balance has been temporarily stacked with money that will never lead to a profit. As all business plans must, when the money dries up, the leaches will find another pasture and finally leave us to ride the bike of our choice in peace.

Meanwhile the big 4's pride allows the Euros to gain market share and gap them in 2s Tech. This does not hurt my feelings at all.

na he will be bashed as some one that just doesn't "get it" but all the people around here that know better then others. Lets face it, there is alot of money being spread around and they will push this agenda hard...

you can tell how much they are doing it by the people who are doing it for them.

those people don't work "cheap" and they don't work for "free".

just sayin.

What is Honda's motivation for everything to be 4 stroke? Why did Yamaha come out with the first 4 stroke motocross bike?
Propaganda!

The engineers at all of these companies are so smart yet they somehow forgot K.I.S.S. and it was forgotten all the way up through management.

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID Wink

It honestly goes against rational thought in the engineering world. A proven motor that is lighter and accomplishes it's goal with less moving parts vs a heavier motor with more moving parts to mangle/more parts to manage/more parts to source/etc.

All it needs right now is a fresh, clean series of it's own

The United States 2 Stroke Nationals.

No 4 strokes allowed.

Just like they did with the 4 stroke Nationals.

A few top names, even if they're retired, LeeAnn giving out the thropies at a round or 2,
a little less politically correct, a little wilder, who cares if a wet t-shirt breaks out,
maybe 8 rounds to start, a freaking weekend long party with the baddest dirt bikes
on the planet.

Yeah, we need our own, screw Honda.
