You guys still hate Haiden after that?

The ladies are always very welcome, much more so than some of the weak minded fragile men around here.   As for Moms, we all know what they like.  Or, they wouldn't be Moms right?

Crazy how people can watch the same race and draw completely differing opinions…. I thought I saw HD check up and let Levi by hoping to latch on and learn his lines, as Levi was clearly going faster at that point of the race. Once he caught the tow he started looking to make the pass and a great battle ensued between the two with HD coming out on top at the Chequers. Smart racing I’d say.

That’s just straight up not what it was at all. When has Deegan EVER checked up to learn someone else’s lines? He knows exactly what he is doing. He sighted Kitchen as he was climbing through each lap and then let him by to take shots. You can literally watch it on the broadcast and if you don’t see it it’s because you choose to not pay attention. He even gave you his full suite of takeout moves in the show. That wasn’t some miraculous battle of the gods, that was Deegan toying with someone like cat and mouse and he’s lucky it didn’t bite him in the collarbone again. The kid is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of his class at this point that he’s willing to race backwards for your entertainment. Dumb racing I’d say.

Is that why Kitchen and him shared a fist bump and congrats right after the finish line?

The softies don't get it, both riders had a blast and these are the kind of battles they love, as we heard both of them say on the podium and in other post interviews.  Levi's first words off the track when the helmet comes off, "I'm not gonna lie, that was fun".  And in a RacerX interview:

https://racerxonline.com/2026/02/16/kitchen-it-was-cool-we-respected-each-other

Levi:  "I just want to have good fun battles like that and that’s what we had tonight."

Like I said in my OP, that's what it's all about.

And this is what most sane people realise because it's factually undeniable.

What I don't understand is why Deegan's fans seem to think that his detractors should be won over every time he has a good race.  The haters can at least acknowledge his riding ability, but fans cant seem to grasp that he does so much asshole shit on and off the track that no amount of great awesome wtf omg races is going to change peoples minds.

Some people just dislike assholes. 🤷‍♂️

There are a total of ~5 Deegan 'fans' here. Not many.  It was more about acknowledging that was a good, fun race to watch (at least I thought so, I was cheering so hard for Kitchen at the end).

What I don't understand is why so many people that dislike him (due to his personality) can't admit he is good at racing dirtbikes? The self biased belief in here because you think that a shitty person = shitty rider is hilarious. There is a large collective who truly believe he is going to faceplant in the 450's. Probably the same people that believe the news.

Example: How many people here would bet me $20 that Deegan wins a 450 MX moto in his first year. I wont be cheering for him to, but $20 is $20.

You talk about reading comprehension a lot but still can’t grasp the concept yourself so I’ll help you out. @jazza167 said he observed Deegan check up to catch a tow and learn lines. I said that wasn’t what happened. Deegan himself said in an interview with Lewis right after the race that he didn’t change his lines at all, that he let Levi by and would piece him apart later. Go watch the race again, Deegan didn’t once take the same sand section line that Levi was gaining/gapping him in. He also said he had been begging for a battle, that he talked to his team about wanting to battle. So that’s what he did, he battled.

I initially disagreed with you that the race was entertaining for the reasons you are claiming. I also later said Deegan is far better than the rest of the guys and that it was not a smart choice to bar bang with someone simply for entertainment or because he’s bored. That’s not being soft. That’s observing a rider making bad judgment for immediate gratification rather than thinking long term. Imagine how devastated you would be if your boy wasn’t able to line up a 450 for the first outdoor race because he did some stupid shit on his way out of the 250 class.

Your tiny fragile ego got so butt hurt that you then decided to call me and everyone who disagreed with you a pussy. You also said I’m blind, need therapy, and that I was talking shit. Disagreeing with someone isn’t talking shit. If anyone has been talking shit this entire time it’s you. Next time you want to twist my words around be sure to use the @ so I can spoon feed it to you sooner.

It's probably time for an appointment for your therapist to discuss, or maybe take something to calm you down.  Your take of the race was really wrong, and it's okay to be wrong. Read the racerX article for confirmation, or if it makes you feel better, as I said earlier, join hands with your buddies and call me a pussy in unison.  Attach a photo of you all holding hands in your "Deegan triggers me" circle while you blurt it out in unison (maybe a chant too?), so it's documented.  I will use it for my new avatar.

You could at least send me the photo of all you guys before you block me. You are going to need a very wide angle to capture everyone, or potentially a drone shot from above.

No need to argue with a back peddler.  Go back and read his posts and you'll see his take was wrong and now he's trying to back peddle.  He said something like "that wasn't a battle of the gods"...well go read what Kitchen and Deegan thought about that "battle".  And he said Deegan did this "to take shots"...well again, go read what Kitchen said about these "shots".  It was an epic battle between two riders who claimed it was their best race ever.  That doesn't describe someone pulling over to take shots, nor does any of the after race hand shakes or comments between the two.  He's wrong, as were a lot of others blinded by Deegan's personality, claiming that this was all about taking shots similar to what he did to Shimoda for a half million.  If Deegan wanted to take shots, either Kitchen or both of them would have been on the ground and not finished where they did.

This was a small step down from what he did with Jo in Vegas. Slowed up, head was on a spindle constantly looking back, let Levi pass, and tried to knock him down multiple times. Only difference was he didn’t make hard contact with Levi like he did with Jo. It was whatever to me, just normal behavior for Haiden. But to address OP’s post title: I’m confused why anyone would watch this race and change their opinion on Haiden from critical to positive.

That is an interesting take. Levi Kitchen said "we raced pretty clean and we played a little cat and mouse there at one point" and went on to further describe it as the best race he's ever been a part of.

Fair enough, but I wouldn't be so quick to take Kitchens posturing at face value. He could be playing the game he thinks he needs to play. I don't have a strong opinion either way on it, just saying.

Fair enough, but I wouldn't be so quick to take Kitchens posturing at face value. He could be playing the game he thinks he needs to play. I don't have a strong opinion either way on it, just saying.

Yes. Levi described it with a smile..."we played a little cat and mouse there at one point"

Why would anyone want to block this most satisfying of online crash outs?

5 days and still going strong you got some staying power lad.

Heck reading through this thread there are a lot of HD fans who constantly berate those who are not fans of HD... I do not know who is worse but calling out HD "haters" is not helping things

Totally fair and thank you for not coming at me hard 😂 Usually if someone disagrees about anything you say involving Haiden, they go zero to 100 immediately and start calling you names 😂
