Makes no sense.
A rider with minimal SX experience, much less AMA SX experience, tapped to join a factory team, which would include all the additional required expenses of salary, housing and more, with zero (one week) of test and prep before the season starts?

Dizzy he has been riding in aus superX won races holeshots and been training sx for over a month Smile

So?
Are you claiming that the AUS SX series is comparable to AMA SX in both track design and level of competition?
If that's true, why isn't Hansen racing 450? He'd be AMA SX Champ, right?

and even still, you think a month of SX down under is comparable to the amount of SX saddle time riders like Goerke, Boni, Browne, Peick and others have under their belts?

I didn't say he had no experience, I said "minimal" SX experience
How much AMA SX experience does he have?

Anything is possible and this all might very well be true, but it still wouldn't make sense in the long run

Billy is more talented than any of the other possible contenders and his resume is more impressive... GP winner in MX2 and MX1, former factory Kawi GP MX1 rider and 2x British Champion... only Hansen and CP would be better choices for a 450 supercross ride due to their SX title experiances and proven sx talent - But I think Billy has more talent than the rest of the names and would be at least as good as them in sx already.... I think he will pick it up quick although he has little time... and of all years this could be the toughest to get good results esp with a lack of preparation.
Yes he has shown flashes of blazing speed even if he is a bit an enigma at times, but those results speak for a lot.Billy is a Monster guy and they must have some influence,I'd love to see him take the ride,he's looking pretty good to meSmile

I think Billy is agreat rider but I don't think you can say him beating Hansen in OZ was a big deal because Josh basically had to cruise to the championship by then.

Anyway, the bike will be available soon... Billy Mac won't last long on a full-on SX track with people all around him.

So with those stories of Kawi Factory 450F bailing on Pro Circuit and switch to FMF I guess there is no way Micth is letting Hansen ride Jake's bike

As for PC do you know if Searle is riding the west coast I'd be suprise if Mithc puts 3 riders plus Searle on the west coast

It was said in Racerhead #53 that it won't be Hansen.

And yes, Searle will ride SX on the west coast.
