I ordered some goodies right before the new year from 100%'s website and they never sent it. Their customer service is nonexistent; no one answers the phone or emails, and the chat bot gets you nowhere. I had to get PayPal to intervene and get my money back. Very disappointing.

You aren't the only one. My girlfriend ordered some googles and stuff for me for Christmas. They sent the wrong goggles and she wanted to them to exchange them. It took her 3 weeks to get a real response to send them back. Once they got there (it showed delivered on the tracking), it took them another week to do anything. She just wanted her money back and order somewhere else. She only got a hold of someone once she threatened a chargeback.

I do try to buy from the local dealers. In fact, right before Christmas I was headed to my locals for some stuff and they had both closed for good. One was a Honda dealer and the other was Kawi/Indian/Polaris; same owner. Both gone. Now I'm down to the Harley/Suzuki/CanAm and something else giant dealership and I think they are more interested in selling tee shirts than anything.

BTW, all I ordered from 100% was socks. I just wanted socks.

Unfortunately, this is the story all too often.  There may still be good dealers out there, but good luck finding one.  Higher prices, very little in stock, and generally an attitude they hold all the cards and you are inconvenience to them.  Huge KTM dealer in Utah argued with me over the right oil for my 150 because what he had in stock was not the right product, but he said it would be fine.  Maybe so, but the Motorex website and owners manual said different.  Just one example of many.

unfortunately that's an old story, same thing in the cycling industry. they stock as little as possible and only try to sell you what they stock. That's why for my moto needs, or mtb needs, I drive 2 and a half hours to the right dealership.

I coulld be wrong but my sarcasm detector tells me that was meant as a joke and the upvotes come from the folks that liked the sarcasm.
