I have 1978 CR250R.  I need a swingarm.  I can get a 1980 CR250R swingarm.

I understand the 1980 is 1" longer and the longer wheelbase is desirable.  Other than Brake stay arm, Brake actuator rod needing to accommodate the hub being an 1" further, does it bolt up to the frame and rear wheel?  i.e. the spindle/axle spacing and diameters/lower shock mounts  are the same?

Thanks.

It should fit fine. Also, there are aftermarket aluminum brake stay rods out there.

Same.  Even the 81-83 arms bolt on, those are mono shocks though.  I have plans to modify an 81 to be a twin shock setup if I ever get around to building my 80 250CR.  It's only been 10+ years.  lol

@450exc...  This '78 has been hiding in the corners since 1997.  A lot of life's water has flowed under the bridge since then.  I'm getting around to it now.  It's still exciting to working on this old scoot.  Biggest reality, this particular bike was way more roached out than I originally thought.  But so far, nothing I can't fix one way or another.  Good luck with your 1980 model.  I rode one of those back in 1980.  Strong torquey motor.
