Some of us are old enough to remember the 1970’s Vietnam protests and music released about it.

Do the lyrics mention anything about all of the US citizens killed by migrants? 🤔

Not listening but I doubt it

Silly SCY, don't you know that only the rights of illegals matter, not the US citizens killed by them....

Got it ....  So you are saying ice should only be attacking all people of color in Texas because that's the only numbers you are looking at.

interesting concept wonder why ice is not doing that? Because its a Red not a Blue state?

You've had some shit takes, but this is the worst. You are indirectly claiming or at least minimizing that illegals don't commit violent crimes like murder and rape.  The victims names are plenty.  FFS, just look at the criminals that ICE are actually pursuing now.  What a fucking idiot.

😂 your the one claiming this spin because I never said that.

There are shitty people everywhere committing murder in all all states in all skin colors and where they were born has nothing to do with that TOTAL number because it is all of them not just 1

Out of curiosity .... What % of the people living in Texas are white or brown? My guess is the brown number is a substantially higher percentage than white and why did they only use the number per 100,000 could it be because it spins the number to a higher LOOKING percentage when comparing brown to white murders.

Just saying open your fucking eyes to reality not the spin.

I wasn't arguing any side of the matter, I provided numbers that you inquired about. If you don't like what's provided you're welcome to do your own research. Believe it or not, I can't control what states do/don't perform studies on this specific situation.

Your graph is not relevant. It’s for 2013-2022. Do you have one that shows through 2025? We have a lot more illegal immigrants now days.

Not relevant to you perhaps, but I'd rather have long-term data baselines than nothing at all. It's a ~3m jump, but we don't know how much that skews the crime rates because the data doesn't seem to exist yet.

"There is no publicly released annual per-capita homicide rate by immigration status for 2023–2025 from the Texas DPS (or any state). While the DPS does have updated arrest and conviction counts through 2025, those data have not yet been processed into standardized rate estimates (per 100,000 by group) in a publicly cited academic or policy analysis."

He is the male version of Tina Turner.

We were in Berlin last time he toured, we were there for a race,  there were loads of British people staying on the hotel because its actually cheaper to fly to Berlin to see him, than it was to see him in London..

At breakfast everyone is wearing their tour Tee's, guy hears me speaking english, and says ' did you see Bruce last night' ... i replied 'Bruce who '?  ... Gold.

Thank you posting this link it has some good numbers from 15 years over 2011-2025.

Where did that immigrant population graph come from because its not part of the link.

According to DHS status indicators, over 466,000 criminal noncitizens have been booked into local Texas jails between June 1, 2011, and December 31, 2025, of which over 335,000 were classified as illegal noncitizens by DHS.

Between June 1, 2011, and December 31, 2025, these 335,000 illegal noncitizens were charged with more than 595,000 criminal offenses which included arrests for 1,112 homicide charges; 77,843 assault charges; 10,531 burglary charges; 69,608 drug charges; 1,515 kidnapping charges; 30,291 theft charges; 47,034 obstructing police charges; 3,382 robbery charges; 7,608 sexual assault charges; 8,647 sexual offense charges; and 7,543 weapon charges.  DPS criminal history records reflect those criminal charges have thus far resulted in over 222,000 convictions including 590 homicide convictions; 28,920 assault convictions; 5,413 burglary convictions; 28,614 drug convictions; 435 kidnapping convictions; 11,489 theft convictions; 18,153 obstructing police convictions; 1,973 robbery convictions; 3,808 sexual assault convictions; 3,923 sexual offense convictions; and 2,462 weapon convictions.

Arrest and Conviction Data for Select Offenses Associated with Illegal Criminal Noncitizens from 06/01/2011 through 12/31/2025

These figures only count individuals who previously had an encounter with DHS that resulted in their fingerprints being entered into the DHS IDENT database.  Foreign nationals who enter the country illegally and avoid detection by DHS but are later arrested by local or state law enforcement for a state offense will not have a DHS response in regard to their lawful status and do not appear in these counts.  However, in addition to the Secure Communities program, DHS actively adjudicates the immigration status of individuals incarcerated in the Texas prison system.  From 2011 to date, the Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) has provided DPS with information on more than 34,000 individuals who were identified by DHS as in the country illegally while they were incarcerated at TDCJ.  11,000 of these individuals were not identified through the Secure Communities program at the time of their arrest.  DPS does not know the current incarceration status of the individuals identified while they were incarcerated nor when their noncitizen status was initially determined.

Lawful Presence Determined While Incarcerated at TDCJ

Between June 1, 2011 and December 31, 2025, these 11,000 individual identified as illegal noncitizens while in prison, but who were not previously identified through Secure Communities, were charged with more than 11,000 criminal offenses which included arrests for 154 homicide charges; 1,551 assault charges; 616 burglary charges; 2,021 drug charges; 71 kidnapping charges; 564 theft charges; 1,114 obstructing police charges; 457 robbery charges; 987 sexual assault charges; 480 sexual offense charges; and 287 weapon charges.  DPS criminal history records reflect those criminal charges have thus far resulted in over 6,000 convictions including 118 homicide convictions; 906 assault convictions; 387 burglary convictions; 1,112 drug convictions; 40 kidnapping convictions; 305 theft convictions; 493 obstructing police convictions; 335 robbery convictions; 723 sexual assault convictions; 344 sexual offense convictions; and 115 weapon convictions.

He may have had good intentions with this song, but it’s not going to be a classic piece of social commentary like The Ghost of Tom Joad is/was, that’s for sure.

I just had GPT force data on the subject into a (png) table format to help make it more readable. I believe it pulled from that Texas study though, as that seems like a primary source for data on the subject.

Something like this - I can't fit it all into one screenshot but you get the idea.

Springsteen is a wanna be Dylan.. although he has much less talent, he does have loads more money. Maybe he should consider using part of the fortune he has made by writing and performing little ditty’s about other’s misfortune to actually ease the troubled times they are living through, instead of popping out a half assed money - grab tune. Fuck Bruce Springsteen !
