They take them from other teams as soon as they find success. Wood, Dudney, and Gordon were all highly successful with Team Green. Minear and Davies were both originally with Daniel Blair on KTMs amateur program and had success immediately. Both were also very successful here before Star came after them.
Star also got Enzo Lopes out of the middle of his contract with Club. They have tried to do that with other current factory riders.
What they do isn’t really impressive, they just take guys who are already successful that other people developed and offer them a contract and a path to pro.
