Too many squids and whack jobs are on the Moto-page so I'm gonna ask you guys that I've known for awhile.
What did you think of Deegan's pass, was it dirty?
As a side note you gotta love Max--what a classy guy. 👍
Personally, I do not think he will try to get him back. He doesn't play the game that likes to roll in the mud.

Wasn’t sure if this was going to be about Deegan’s or Sextons (on Webb).
Deegs pass was hardly anything…rear tire slide up a bit higher. As Max said, he fell like a sack of potatoes..
No Deegan's pass was not dirty. Deegs pivoted his rear wheel to cut down as he had anticipated that Max was going to undercut him. For sure, it is shit that Max went down. Max and Deegan actually have a great friendship, and Max, after watching the highlight video on the big screen, said that the move was fine.
Personally, I feel that Deegan could have been a little more patient. He had the edge on Max and could have picked a safer place to make the pass without any risk to them both.
It never looks good when teammates take each other down. Deegan will need to grow up very quickly once he is in the big boy class.
Shitty but not dirty. Max should have expected it. I'd be surprised if it's never happened to him before.

Not exactly dirty and certainly nothing ‘illegal’. But it was definitely a choice that Deegan made that Anstie probably won’t forget anytime soon, especially if he’s in a position to return the favor.
If that type of pass is what Deegan had used on Shimoda a few months ago, there shouldn’t have been much to complain about.

It's only a big deal because Deeg can be a jerk at times and everybody likes Max. That's it.
Exactly this….

why qualify it with "at times"?
I think that Max thought their friendship would mean something and that they would race each other clean and was a little surprised .
I wouldn't call it dirty, but I would rather see clean racing where both riders respect each other and ride in a way that is not going to knock the other down. That could have been an amazing race, with back and forth passes . Exciting like the 45o main. Instead it was pretty much over after that corner.
In my opinion ,Deegan should use his time in the 250 class to learn and refine his race craft so when he is racing Roczen , Tomac , Sexton and Jett , he can deal with pressure and is used to going back and forth . I enjoy the style of racing that the 450 class has right now. I hope he cleans up his style some before going into it. Even though he was " just turning down" he had to know how close he was and what could happen.
No doubt that he needs to learn a little humility which is why I am disappointed that he isn't in the 450 class. Imagine if he pulled that crap on Barcia. That's assuming that he could pass him in the first place.
I'd much rather comment on how damn awesome, tight, and clean the top three raced in the 450 main !!!
That's how it's done.
The back and forth between Tomac and Roczen, and Hunter. Who showed an amazing amount of respect, when he was oh so close to getting his first win.
And remember last year when the underlying thoughts about Tomac were, "just be glad we're still seeing him out there for us to enjoy" ??? Well, we're certainly enjoying him now. (But probably not as much as he's enjoying it)
Or maybe because max was letting him by and deegan still went for a take out, when he was clearly faster and could have got by just about anywhere on the track without taking him out
The teammates train and practice this stuff all the time and max cut down a little to early.
A scorpion noticed a frog sitting on the river bank and asked him for a ride across the river. The frog replied, you'll sting me and kill me. The scorpion said, why would I do that? It would kill both of us. This made sense to the frog so he said hop on and started swimming. Half way across the scorpion stings the frog. In seconds before death the frog asks why did you do that? Now you'll die too. The scorpion replies, I'm a scorpion, it's what I do.
Well, now you’ve done it!
The Haiden Haters will be here soon to let you know all sorts of things about yourself that you never knew. 🤣
Its ok I have been trained long ago to not worry about the down voters 😂
Not dirty in the sense that it was intended to cause harm, but clearly intentional. Now, I believe that you race a competitor cleanly and if you are faster, you win. Block passes are OK, and even "aggressive blocking and if you fall, that's on you" is OK, but Deegan clearly altered his line so he would make contact with Anstie. That's at least a little dirty. Deegan seems to find that edge where he knows he's riding dirty but he can't quite get penalized for it.
The interviews do not fully reflect how these guys are feeling. That is a workplace requirement for the job. Guaranteed when Max chats with his wife after he clocks out he’s talking some shit about Deegan.
Shit pass, on a team member, who is leading points. It is a shit pass because Haiden was going to fly by him anyway. He’s fast as hell which makes these antics so annoying.
Not related, anyone see the Sexton crash in qualifying? Who was at fault there? Didn’t see a discussion about it in moto section.

Why do your teammate like that?Normal shit tid, like usual from him. I hope Max punts him into last year, of course he won’t. To professional
Just a little dirty but very stupid...
1. why risk going down
2. Anstie was a teammate
3. Anstie was letting him by
4. Could have been beneficial to have a teammate behind you not letting others pass easily
5. Why make enemies on the track when you don't have to
I don't think Max should have 'seen that coming' from his teammate...
Far from a haiden hater and have gotten to spend time with Brian years ago. Good people not a fan of the whole persona shit but that pass was dirty. I've defended him on a lot but. He knew he was taking Max's front wheel. He could have held out that under cut a full second longer without weaving right and still blocked max. Im sorry that one was intentional.
Im100% ok with take outs first of all own up to it for one. But take out are part of the bussines. Last laps, a reciept for a past transgression against to, for a title. I get it. Ill never say a word about it.
That was just being a dick.
