Amazingly tight finish after two weeks of racing.
And how tough are these guys; Sanders lost the lead with a big crash on day ten, but despite a broken collarbone and injured sternum, rode the last three and a half days to still finish top five.

That is absolutely crazy, I mean, a broken collar bone ain't no joke, then pushing through three days of riding in one of the most brutal environments on planted earth. He deserves an award for that alone.

I can’t even fathom it. Imagine the other poor riders behind him, beaten by a guy with one arm.

I've been following Dakar on their live App since day one. For obvious reasons, my guys are Brad Cox, Ross Branch and Michael Dockerty. All three have the talent and resources to be on the podium but as we have seen, lady luck needs to be on your side. Ricky B has been so solid throughout and he deserves this, he earned it by knowing when to push and when to preserve the situation, somehow he got lady luck into his bed...he is a Smart rider.

Kudos to all these great Athletes, just finishing this race is a win and to come out on top is a monumental achievement.

I never used to miss a stage back in the day, but now it runs round someones back yard in Saudi Arabia, i cant invest any tine in it.

Loved the original Dakar, and even the move to South America was in the spirit of the event.  Guys i know that work it say it isnt the same any more.

Being from Argentina, I remember the days of Dakar here in home soil. Golden memories! I would watch the TV coverage all day long, and we would wake up at 5 AM, and gather along the highways just to watch them go by.

But y'all go ahead.
