I did pretty much the same thing back in 1990 ,but on a 125. Smile
A shop I was sponsored by had given me a brand-new pair of Tucker & Rocky bars to try when they first came out.Used them for a couple weeks before I found out that they were re-called.
Anyway,I was racing an AX with those same bars and briefly laid it down in a corner (prolly cracked them).
Got up and got going again....
I was hitting this jump and landing pretty much with my front wheel 2 feet or so before the next one.
Well...when I landed between the jumps,the bars snapped at the triple clamps on the throttle side.Hit the next jump full throttle and then launched the berm before I could
let go, it was straight into the wall for me. LOL
