I haven't got past 2:2. The blondes are just killing this show for me. Turns a drama into a bad 70's sitcom.
My wife feels the same, but I keep telling her it all starts to make sense as the episodes go on. Even though she could just walk down the hall and watch them as I work if she wanted, she waits till they air.
Wait for S3 of Lioness though, we are currently shooting a barn burner of a 3rd season. It's going to be so good.
I hope so, I really feel the subject and area could produce such an awesome show. I loved Tulsa King and it came without silliness. It just seems that Landman is the only one that took this path. I was thinking last night that it's like they inserted Peg and Kelly Bundy in to this show.
Thanks for keeping us updated!
I'm not sure if you have seen it or not, but Angela's character is based on Ali Larter's role of "Darcy" from Varsity Blues, which coincidentally enough was the last feature I ever did before getting into TV (whip cream bikini, anyone?). I've had this chat with the boss about it and he was floored I made the connection, but it's pretty easy if you're thinking about it on a deeper level.
Do you remember the girls in the bathroom in the first episode this season when Cami is getting ready for her speech? That's Taylor's little throwback to who Angela was at that age and what motivated her. It might not all make sense now, but it will, I promise.

* shaving cream bikini 😄
The whip cream wasn't sticking to her.
I will say, I loved season 1. But god damn, season 2 is off too a weird ass start. Slow, tons of half baked plots and story lines.
the only thing a whipped cream bikini does is get all fuckin over everything because it melts too fast. still hot though
I kinda think Tulsa King got a little formulaic this season. The first season was off the wall and unpredictable which is what keeps me coming back.
Landman could go either way. I don't mind the girls. I spent my high-school years in Texas so they just come with the territory down there. Don't get me wrong...they are bat shit crazy and are probably the leading cause of male suicide south of the Red River. I'd say the character development is pretty damn spot on for that cast. Not really sure what Sam Elliot brings to the table (I love the guy btw) but the pots still cookin' so I'll wait til the eating.
The Mayor of Kingstown is pretty damn good as well.
Pluribus is really good. Vincent Gilligan is one of the best, the acting is top shelf, and the plot is not cookie cutter like so much of the stuff streaming these days. We look forward to each new episode.
Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy. Series begins December 22nd. 8 episodes.
Chicago-area contractor John Wayne Gacy leads a double-life as a serial killer, while detectives piece together clues that lead to a shocking discovery.
The Rip.
A group of Miami cops discovers a stash of millions in cash, leading to distrust as outsiders learn about the huge seizure, making them question who to rely on.
Y: Marshals
Ex-Navy SEAL Kayce Dutton leaves Yellowstone Ranch to join U.S. Marshals, using his cowboy and military skills to fight crime in Montana while dealing with family ties and the mental toll of law enforcement.
Alex Honnold's, free solo, film is out on Netflix now.
As is his free climb of the skyscraper in Taiwan.
Starting to see more adventure documentaries there now.
Meru is another good mountaineering film.
Currently watching a Jason Bateman, David Harbour starring series called DTF St Louis on HBO. It's excellent so far, kinda creepy and funny at the same time.
New season of Lincoln Lawyer is out (season 4 I think- with another season already in the works).
Have watched 2 episodes (of 4) of the Rupert Murdoch documentary, pretty good so far but he sure was ruthless with his children. Pretty much the real life version of Succession on HBO (great series BTW).
And another Drive to Survive season is out as well. Wow Kimi Antonelli is just a kid! I didn't realize he was just 18 and only recently got his driver's license! But at 18 and racing F1, can't even imagine the pressure for someone so young.
Pit Row
It just keeps getting better with every episode.
Teaser trailer for Dutton Ranch. Starts May 15th.
Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton gamble everything on a new life in South Texas, but the promise of building a future far from the ghosts of Yellowstone quickly collides with brutal new realities and a rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.
